  1. Start with a lower initial altitude, then increase it as you go. You always can request a higher or lower FL in flight. Example: I would start with a flight level of something like FL220. Then if i knew that my airplane could climb higher once some of the fuel has been burned, I would request from FS ATC climbs of 4,000 feet. Continue from there till you are at a level that is optimum. Sorry, I'm not sure if VOX ATC operates in the same way.
  2. Here are some of the photos that I used to complete a brand new repaint for the Tinmouse 737-200! The repaint for this old bird will be up very shortly in a matter of a few days.
  3. Here are some of the airplanes that were parked durring the event! There were many helicopters flying all over the place as well, but I never seemed to have my camera at the right moment. Normally the airspace is uncontrolled, so for the event - the FAA brought in a temp tower and some of the controllers from O'hare Intl (KORD). Some of the ATC guys were quite funny - many of the pilots are just starting flight training and they don't have a lot of tower experiance. A conversation like this took place. N2166E : "Tower, this 2166E holding short of runway 02, training a student on Air Traffic Control procedures, ready for takeoff westbound departure." Tower: " Roger, cleared for the westbound departure - Yea, we're trying to train you guys too." My instuctor and I almost died of laughter.
  4. Though our airline's primary goal is to carry passengers and goods on a regular basis, we will always step in where virtual help is needed. As we speak, there are two hurricanes that are spinning around in the Atlantic Ocean could affect the island of Bermuda. With every passing second, Hurricane Leslie is growing in power. As a destination of our airline, it is part of our responsibility to help ferry passengers and cargo supplies for rebuilding. Wright Airlines is offering pilots a substancial bonus for completing as many flights as possible in a few days. For your charity work, each flight back and forth between the mainland and Bermuda will award you with a $25,000 pilot bonus for each flight completed! You can now fly to Bermuda from Charlotte/Douglas using the following aircraft: A380-800 MD-11 MD-11F 707-300 747-400C 757-200 767-300 For the latest information on the Hurricanes, please use this fantastic aviation resource. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ If you are interested in joining our airline to help out with these flights, please visit our site today! www.wrightairlines.org
  5. After a successful start in the city of Chicago, Wright Airlines is announcing the official opening of our newest hub – Charlotte/Douglas International! Once the opening ceremony was completed, our airline proceded with the closure of one of our least utilized hubs in our airline. Wright Airlines is proud to be operating from three fantastic hubs geographically located in some of the worlds most challenging airspace’s. As of today, Wright Airlines operates a hub and spoke system from the following major airports: Seattle Tacoma Intl. Chicago Midway Intl. Charlotte/Douglas Intl. - Our main hub With this new expansion, we have added many more routes and have purchased many airplanes that need pilots! We are looking for a dedicated team of pilots to fly from these hubs. No prior virtual airline experience is required. For more details along with registration information, feel free to visit our website to find all the details you will ever need. Http://www.wrightairlines.org/ Welcome aboard Captain! -Wright Airlines Staff
  6. Howdy everyone! Our airline is expanding and I need your help. I am in dire need of people to help with the day-to-day operations both on the virtual airline and the website ends of things. Since I have started a new job, I have found that I don't have as much time as I would like to donate to the site and our community of pilots and to the development of freeware add-ons. I am looking for people who have a good understanding of basic issues within FSX, and some real life experience (either online or offline) managing people/goods/resources. You must be over 17 years of age. Is this right up your ally? Send our support team a quick message using this forum here: http://www.wrightair....php/contact-us ( Chicago – Our home city! ) Thanks guys! ^_^
  7. Perhaps you could meet up with this guy: http://devinci.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/12-b717-3d-model/ He's almost done with the exterior of a 717, and will be working on the interior as well. If you know how to program gauges and the like, I'm sure he'd love the help.
  8. Ok, that sounds good. It wasn't what I wanted to hear - but if it's the model's fault I guess there is nothing I can do about it.They should consider making a fix... Thanks! The repaint will be up on my website very soon for download.
  9. In the photos attached below you can see this very wierd repainting issue. From a certain angle and a certain distance, the top of the airplane turns GREEN! All the layers have been ligned up correctly so I don't think it's an issue with either Master_MD11_Fuse_Left_T or Master_MD11_Fuse_Right_T.I'm sure someone has come across this problem once before while repainting the MD-11. I simply don't have a clue as to what I need to fix. If need be - I'm willing to upload my Photoshop files to my server so you guys can take a better look for yourself.
  10. I've done some searching of my own, but I am having issues finding usable download links to the much needed photoshop files.- Erick Cantu's Embraer EMB120 Brasilia- Project Opensky 737-800- Project Opensky 737-600- Alejandro Rojas Lucena' MD-83 for FSX (FSND)- Aero Commander 500 for FS2004 Model designed and animated in GMAX by Milton ShupeIf you could help me find only one, that would be GREAT! Thanks folks.
  11. Planned in 2011, brought to life in 2012, Wright Airlines stands for the highest level of the virtual flying experience. Founded on a simple aviation-focused vision, Wright Airlines came into existence out of much needed change in virtual flying. Instead of simply running routes back and forth with the same airplanes, Wright Airlines plans on offering much more with new challenges every week.Wright Airlines is working to create a positive experience with every flight and website visit, for both the virtual passengers and the flight crew. Wright Airlines strives to surround itself with pilots who share a serious passion about flight. Anyone who is willing to take the time to learn simple flight techniques will always be rightfully accepted and welcomed.Though our primary focus is to maintain and expand our virtual airline, we also are a home to foster growth for those willing to contribute to the community. If you would like to join our brand new community, please visit our website.Thanks!W.A.L. Staff Visit our Site! :( http://www.wrightairlines.org/

  13. I'll have to uplad a video of this one of these days. It's much more funny to see it happening in real time. This is why we don't put Jet A-1 in our prop planes... LOL!
  14. The Maule M7 vs. The Airbus A380 It's great what you can do with the sim. Especially if you want to do something goofy!
  15. After several days of discussions amongst the administrative staff of Chicago Flights™ VA, we have come to an agreement. Though we have been a very successful virtual airline in the short haul market (100-400 NM), we decided that it was time to expand into the medium/long haul markets (500-1200 NM). With this decision, have opened up more than 10 hubs around the world, and have added more than 400 new routes to our VA! From exotic places like the sandy hills of Arabia, to the remote hilltops in the Andes Mountains, every new route offers lots of eye candy to allow your flights to be that much more enjoyable. With the list of routes constantly expanding, we have bought a large assortment of new airliners for the new routes. These aircraft are primarily the Boeing 747, 757, 767, the Airbus A321 and the A380, along with reliable and trusty MD-11. You can view a listing of our current routes HERE, or view the new and improved interactive map HERE to witness the massive labyrinth of routes. To see the network and operate the interactive map, simply click on the airport markers on the map! We look forward to seeing you joining our virtual airline! To get started, please apply here… http://chicagoflight...VAFS&op=pre-app Please note that pilots who join our virtual airline will have to fly a minimum of successful 15 flights before they will become eligible to fly the heavy jets. Upon completion of this minimal task, pilots would then be able to switch to the hub of their choice. We hope to see you fling high over the Chi-Town sky!iheart707
