PMDG 747-400/400F

Hi guys,I've just bought the FS2crew PMDG voice commander and let me tell you, boy am I impressed! I'm about to buy the Level D one next :( Excellent product, no complaints at all. I was worried that I'd have all kinds of problems with Windows 7 64 bit but it works perfectly.... Just one question though, have FS2crew removed the funtion where the co-pilot would automatically set tank to engine or have I missed something somewhere? I really liked that feature on the older one. I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the documentation anywhere but maybe it is (forgive me)...Thanks a lot,Jermaine...

I think not.I did a flight the other day and i let the flight alone for a while and when i came back, the "Tank to Engine" EICAS alert was on, i my two inboard tanks were half of the outboard tank. I had to use a weird config until all my thanks were level and then i changed to Tank to Engine myself.I would be nice if this can be back on some day.Maybe Ryan had good reason to not include it.

Yea the exact same thing happened to me lol... I had to turn off the outer tanks and feed from the tanks that were fuller until I had a balance.. Only thing is, by the time I got them just about balanced, I was on approach! :( I know this is the 747 forum but I just bought the Level D version and it's even better! I'm about to try it on a long haul flight and see if I get the same thing with the fuel config.

Another option, rather than re-configuring the cross feeds and pumps until balance is restored, is to save and reload the flight. You will have the same fuel on board, but the PMDG logic behind the scenes will have correctly balanced the tanks and set the cross feed valves and pumps accordingly. You might also be able to manually set the fuel load in the PMDG menu to the current load with the same effect, but I have never tried this in the air.Of course, neither is recommended for VATSIM or IVAO as they involve pausing the sim.

Hi Philip, yea that wouldn't be an option for me because I run FSpassengers and Radar Contact. Btw, impressive gig you got there. Are you running FSX or FS9?

Hi JermaineThanks for the compliment, but the technology available now (about six months after purchase) already blows it away.I am mostly using FSX, which performs well, especially after *******' tweaks. I still use FS9 as well because I like my PMDG 737.

Hi Jermaine,I removed that function in the Voice version. Reason being was that it didn't work reliably enough for my tastes. So, to make thing simpler, I just delegated that responsibility to the user.Best,

Hi. Is there any chance you could bring this feature back? It would really help especially when do long haul flights over night since we would not have to wake up in the middle of the night just to get rid of tank to engine. I hope it's not too much trouble if it can be done. But anyway thanks for the product! I am very impressed. never really enjoyed the button version but with voice version, i'm never flying without it again!! thanks :)

Lobby PMDG for an SDK so if I do it, it can work 100 percent accurately every time :( Cheers,
