January 12, 201115 yr Hi,What parts of RC 4.3 feature list concering ATC comms capability can IYP not address? I know that some would say I should contact IYP for this, and I surely can, but my hope was that someone who uses these 2 products together may be able to provide some information not only for this specific question but general useablity as well. I also would like to know if there are definite concrete plans for IYP compatibility with version RC v5 when released? I guess to make this question a little more indirect, have the developers been working with each other at some level towards the RC v5 project? If I purchase IYP I want to be comfortable that both these products work together in the future. I do understand that even though there may be talks to do so, plans can change for whatever reason. Any help on these questions would be much appreciated.RegardsBob Officially retired
January 13, 201115 yr I use MultiCrew and RC5 and love it, honestly I only use Multicrew for voice RC5. MultiCrew experience has a demo also.
January 13, 201115 yr When using IYP with RC it is basically a voice activated key-press operator. For example: Tell it to "acknowledge and contact" and the proper keys will be pressed for RC. It is a treat not having to hit those keys every time RC expects a response. Assuming RC5 continues to use key presses (and what else is there?) then IYP will not go obsolete.Even without RC, IYP is one of the best add-ons for FS. IYP will set headings, radio freqs, altimeter, serve as co-pilot, remind you to lean engines, etc. Neal Howard
January 13, 201115 yr Author Hi,I am really enjoying the IYP demo and have spent alot of time voice training and it does pay off. Yes, only kepresses and I would assume it would continue on with RC v5, but you just never know. Thanks for chiming in I appreciate itRegardsBob When using IYP with RC it is basically a voice activated key-press operator. January 13, 201115 yr Author Hi Ray,What I was trying to say was that I hoped there that IYP would still interface with RC v5 when RC v5 is released.Bob Officially retired
