January 13, 201115 yr Hi All,I've been looking around for a program that would be able to give a 'dispatch release' with loadsheet, weather maps, enroute METARs etc. I already have TOPCAT and am looking to perhaps purchase Flight Operation Center. Does anyone have any opinions on these or any other products I should be giving a look?I found an example of the kind of thing I'm looking for. It is seems to match the real thing reasonably well.http://www.flyaoamedia.com/support/Dispatch.pdfThanks!Thomas
January 13, 201115 yr that would be great if there were such a program,im also interested in that if anyone knows of such software. Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
January 13, 201115 yr This looks almost identical to the Flight Operation Center dispatch briefing. Be aware the learning curve of FOC is very steep but the results are worth the efforts. If you are going to invest in this software subscribe to the weather data updates but do not subscribe to all airac cycles (much too expensive) quarterly or semi-annually updates are fully sufficient.FYI TOPCAT is neither a flight planner nor a complete dispatcher it is merely a take-off and landing dispatch help.Cheers Best Regards, Michael A. January 13, 201115 yr FYI TOPCAT is neither a flight planner nor a complete dispatcher it is merely a take-off and landing dispatch help.CheersTopCat is currently working on a flight planner. Here's the link to a temporary site. http://www.pfpx.com/
January 14, 201115 yr Sorry I should have said TOPCAT is not in its current state a flight planner. Best Regards, Michael A. R. Clavier
January 15, 201115 yr I am using NavMonster's TripKit option (you'll find it just below the website's banner logo between "Charts" and "Map" options). It's the best most in terms of richness of provided briefing info I know so far but mainly for GA.Just try it!Regards,Rustam Alhas Regards,Victor Quebec
January 15, 201115 yr Does FOC or interface to a weather add-on like active sky archives or does it only use its own gathering or real-time real world weather. I think at one time there was an app called Dispatch Planner.
