RTW 2011 Practice Thread 3

Recommended Posts

I Have the baton PASI --> PAKN ( Sitka --> King Salmon) in the P-51H w/ some coffee biggrin.gifOn VPN & TS** EDIT -- Duenna once again gave me the wrong UTC sent to FS. Figured this out part of the way along.. Did an experiment, changed FS to the correct UTC while Duenna is running. May end up with a bad Duenna, if, the landing is good. Roman

I have the baton from UHSS to ZYYJ in an Avanti.
Baton safely at ZJJY. Figured out that error is coming from a screen switch from full to windows mode..this causes Duenna to think that simulation mode has been changed. Will make note of that for the race.Errors:29.01.2011 17:45:07z Warning: FS unavailable29.01.2011 18:05:36z ERROR NEW: [Rate 1x]29.01.2011 18:05:36z AT N 46* 05.1' / E 139* 22.8' at 28964ft GS:391kts, IAS:253kts, VS:-8ft/min29.01.2011 18:05:36z STATE [RATE=0.00390625]29.01.2011 18:05:36z AIRCRAFT Piaggio P-180 Avanti PFC / Counter 429.01.2011 18:05:36z 29.01.2011 18:05:36z ERROR RESOLVED: [Rate 1x] (Duration 00:00:00)29.01.2011 18:05:36z AT N 46* 05.1' / E 139* 22.6' at 28964ft GS:391kts, IAS:253kts, VS:8ft/min29.01.2011 18:05:36z STATE 29.01.2011 18:05:36z AIRCRAFT Piaggio P-180 Avanti PFC / Counter 429.01.2011 18:05:36z 29.01.2011 18:05:36z ERROR NEW: [Rate 1x]29.01.2011 18:05:36z AT N 46* 05.1' / E 139* 22.6' at 28964ft GS:391kts, IAS:253kts, VS:8ft/min29.01.2011 18:05:36z STATE 29.01.2011 18:05:36z AIRCRAFT Piaggio P-180 Avanti PFC / Counter 429.01.2011 18:05:36z 29.01.2011 18:05:36z ERROR RESOLVED: [Rate 1x] (Duration 00:00:00)29.01.2011 18:05:36z AT N 46* 05.1' / E 139* 22.6' at 28964ft GS:391kts, IAS:253kts, VS:8ft/min29.01.2011 18:05:36z STATE 29.01.2011 18:05:36z AIRCRAFT Piaggio P-180 Avanti PFC / Counter 429.01.2011 18:05:36z

Wingman from ZYYJ to ZSJN in P-61B.
Wing down safe at ZSJN. This airplane model (freeware) is not acceptable for the race. I could have gone easily 500+knts in level flight. Flew all the flight at half throttle as to keep speed realistic and not out run my baton carrier. This seems to be outside the normal specs as Roman and I discuss enroute. Roman did point out that sim-outhouse has a new air and aircraft config for another freeware p-61B. These config files are supposed to change the p-61B to a p-61C. Just think some more testing of this aircraft is needed.
