February 17, 201115 yr i found something interesting a mosquito doing secent speed and rock stable in storm conditionsany thoughts?p.s. i am allowed to install GPS and autopilot am i not?As far as I know Leon the Mosquito is a qualified race bird, I've got a nice Just Flight one (by Aeroplane Heaven from memory). From my experience of the Mosquito though there are faster birds out there, and I believe Milton Shupe and gang's freeware F7F is one:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004ac&DLID=155954As for the GPS - it's use is allowed in the race. Same with the Autopilot, it's indispensable. We fly into some pretty remote airports sometimes where nav aids are few and far between, so sometimes the GPS is all we've got to go by.How are you going with your stability problem Leon? Have you got your Duenna working now? Mike Beckwith
