Hello guys,After installing the UK2000 LHR Sceneries and moving my home base from EDDF to EGLL I got nasty surprise from FSX...This nasty surprise occurs after I have swapped the default flight files from a cold and dark start in EDDF to one in EGLL. What basically happens is that each time I start FS, in the airport box, there is 'nuggs' Flying M airport in my list, when in fact I am supposed to see London Heathrow. I never selected that airport, and it has absolutely no place at the top of the list, starting with 'n and an ICAO starting with T. I remember that the first airport on the list always was 04 Ranch or something of the like. The base swap flight from EDDF EGLL did not have this issue and Frankfurt Main was selected in the browser, so I was able to select my gates fast. Then, after landing at heathrow and after restarting FSX, I loaded the default flight in Heathrow, then saved it as default - british airways. Everything was fine, installed some british 777 later that night, but since egll was default, i didn't open the airport browser to select a gate, as i was already se for act runway. The following day, I took the Airbus X to LROP and while the box had London Heathrow in it, as soon as I clicked on change location, I saw this:I immediately went, #####, what's going on here!? but figure it was a one time bug and went on..the flight had extremely low FPS, the usually great performance in EGLL turned to the one I get in EDDF - while using fraps. It was VERY odd. Even through the flight, the frame rates were very anomal, after landing, returning to the menu, looking at the look book and flight back on free flight my sim stopped responding and I had to force shutdown.I tried to delete the default flight, but even doing that, even with Friday Harbor as default airport, I got that annoying 'nuggs' Flying M airport highlighted again. What is going on, and how do I fix this anomaly!?Much thanks for any help!

'nuggs' Flying M - TE68 - Pottsboro, Texas has always been the first item in my FSX airport list.It should be first by virtue of the apostrophe which begins the airport name - then comes 02 Ranch - 46TE - Alpine, Texas.Perhaps I have misunderstood your question regarding 'nuggs" ??

I think what he means is even after he has EGLL selected, he goes back in to the selection screen, say to set his start to a gate, and instead of it pointing to the current airport selected like it would normally do (EGLL), he gets 'Nuggs' I have the same issue, it seems to only happen with the UK2000 EGLL scenery. All you need to do is search for EGLL to get it back. Not really a big deal.

Thanks

Yeah, I figured it out, it happened because the scenery changes the name to London Heathrow the the default is simply Heathrow, thus It won't find the name. It took me 3 hours staring at screen like a jackass to figure it out... god I feel stupid. LOL.gifSad part is that my computer is too weak to even run uk2000, which is very good on frames, even on my computer, but its still way to slow. That didn't make much sense, I know. I'll be using defaults till I get my beloved upgrade, because with my capricious attitude, its 30 FPS or nothing at all.The scenery is a work of art though.

UJ2000 scenery does have options to improve framerates. Also, you may need to reduce some of the sliders a little. On my last PC (which was a bot too weak) I managed to identify the tree files and a few other bits and pieces which I removed/renamed to get the performance improvement I needed.Another thing is that thre are quite a lot of other airports in the near vacinity which don't help EGLL from a performance perspective.IAN
