I don't think the duenna would cause a system freeze, I haven't heard of anyone having that problem. Does the system just stop completely, or do you get a bluescreen? If you get a bluescreen that would probably narrow it down a bit, since not a lot of things can directly cause it in Win7, so it's probably a graphics or sound card driver or something like that.

Sorry about your bad luck on the practice leg. If you would like a recommendation for a good plane for the race may I suggest the Grumman F7F Tigercat. It is an excellent race plane. Hi Leon , looking at your Text file on the tracking site for duenna , it shows a mass of fs Unavailable errors so duenna is still functioning correctly but unable to talk to FSX . Probably , as you say , due to FSX "crashing . Probable cause is an "out of memory" error . I do not know what power your pc has but imagine is good to be running Win764 . Do you have the Graphics sliders set too high . This can quickly eat the memory , "on my old Vista setup anyway " If the computer is getting low on available memory then executing another program like IE8 may be enough to eat that bit of memory Too much . For this reason I do all my admin on a second pc leaving my FSX pc to handle only FSX . Try running on lower graphic settings and definately no traffic . Hope we can get this sorted :)cheers Bryps I may be talking rubbish so if anyone has other ideas please chime in . This is only what I find causes this issue on my PC

Well i did do the following1) deinstall IE8 and replace with Chrome2) reinstall Duena3) NOT using online tracking4) deinstall newest drivers of audio and video and replace them5) cross fingers and flyuntill now it seems to work, but do i need to have the online tracking available?

The online tracking is important. It provides a clear record of official baton flights that is easy for other teams and the race officials to monitor. It also has a copy of your verification graphic and text file. This is important because we can no longer attach text files to our forum posts.
