Flight Simulator on the iPad?

Featured Replies

Flight Simulator 4.0 with USA East and USA West scenery installed on the iPad using iDos. Actually quite flyable once you get used to the controls. I figured someone might get a kick out of this. Just had to share. :)

Wow, those were the days!

And if memory serves me correctly I was complaining about the performance on my IBM PCjr 8088 machine!

Yes- they really were "the days". We had several different aircraft to fly (couldn't add to the quota shipped with FS4), so we all focused more on flying and how to fly rather than how pretty the planes looked :) Then, when the US East/West scenery was released by SubLogic, we almost thought we were in 3D- and we had more than 6-8 airports in the world to use. I can recall using this same scenery in the ATP program, also by SubLogic, and in FS5.0 (then the release of FS5.1 broke the ability to use this awesome scenery, not sure why, but the tension between SubLogic and MicroSoft was getting really hot by then).Awesome that the OP has it running on the i-Pad! X-Plane on IPAD is pretty neat actually.

LOL, I did the very same thing to my East-West scenery for ATP.I had those 3.5" disks around for the longest time too. I pitched them not that long ago.

Just look at the difference in graphics between the iPad and FS4...
