February 3, 201115 yr Hello Guys ! Trying to hook up one of those 9" little USB Monitor (touch screen IMo Eye9). Upon lunching FSX I get this message:"This Graphic Card (nVidia 275GTX) dos not meet minimum requirement for shader support, this products require a Ge force 3/Radon 8500 class or better Graphic Card"and BOOM, FSX is crashing to the desk top, I then can turn the USB Monitor, lunch fsx and then turn it on, it doesn't crash, but when I drag and drop one of my instrument to the USB Monitor it's actually not responding, means it's there but it's kind of frozen. No problem when I place my FSWIDGE flying kneeboard ANY IDEA ?????????????tnx in advanceYair
February 4, 201115 yr Hi I Can only say that I've seen posts warning people off USB connected screens. I have a suggestion, though. An Acer T230 touch screen. It would fit the other DVI output on your gpu. Got one myself, and it's substantial size lets you drag multiple windows over. The overhead panel in a proper size makes start up of a big bird very easy. And if you run windowed mode during start up, you can have yout pdf checklist open next to it. February 4, 201115 yr Author .. 23' Touch Screen, this is a nice Monitor, not acheap one but nice, however, I need to find away to maske this little USB to work. There is no season why it should not work proparly Tnx for your advice.Yair
February 4, 201115 yr FS isn't crashing its closing down because Direct-X is getting disabled by the USB monitor when you plug it in and FS thinks you don't have a supported GPU installed because of this. What you can try to do is launch the sim first without plugging the USB monitor in, then once you have the flight loaded to the cockpit plug in the USB monitor. If you are getting a static image when you drag your undocked panel or whatever to the USB monitor try sizing the window so that you leave a few pixels from one of the top corners of the window on your main monitor and the rest of the window on your USB monitor. I use this trick to get the iPad to work with AirDisplay and 2D panels from FSX, you might be lucky and it will work the same way for this USB monitor too, I can't guarantee it though. Cheers, Andy.
February 4, 201115 yr Author Hello Andy !Yeah. I already figured it out so I lunching FSX and only after FSX is up and running I'm turning the USB Display on, and we good ... the other thing with the static I do not thing that it's the problem but I'll try it tonight, maybe this is it ..Thanks for your help.Have a great weekendYair
February 4, 201115 yr I've never had any luck with USB monitors or USB to DVi Adapters. All would load up fine, but once I start transferring FSX windows over they all just freeze and crash. If not initially, once trying to resize it always froze. I eventually just added another video card.
February 4, 201115 yr Author .... not very comforting .. I just payed 140 buck for this little one ^_^ .. I still can use it with my FSWIDGE Flying bug and it works fine, but I would like to drag some other instruments as well .... I guess u r right wors come to word I'll ad another Video card ....
