Hello, More and more I find .ad2 files in the downloads of AFCAD folders for FSX.What are the .ad2 files?Thanks in advance.
As I understand it, an .ad2 file is the "work" file which is saved when creating or editing an airport in ADE9X. It would be used to further edit the edit using that utility.It is not needed to display the airport in question however - just required if further editing by the user is desired.

Also note that ADE9X originally created its project files using the ade extension, and ad2 is just the ade project that's been zipped.scott s..

Not quite 100% accurate, the extension was changed from .ade to .ad2 at an ADE9X version change.regards,Joe
