February 15, 201115 yr ok, ive been searching for a good global express for 6 years now waiting for one to come out..finally theres an Awsome AI model for the global, BUT, its AI....Theres got to be a way to modify it to add opening doors and moving control surfaces....right? Cant i load the model into GMAX somehow and add stuff on to the model? Or maybe make a new model from scratch copying all the demensions and such to have a full working aircraft model??? The AI version is perfect, ive finally found what ive been looking for and just my luck, nothing moves on it...ughh, there got to be a way to make a good global out of this....any ideas?? on a side note, how exactly does gmax work??? Is it like a CAD sort of thing where you basicly draw out the airplane?? pardon my ignorance...just never dove into design, but now im forced to make my own I guess..lol...thanks!

Short answer:No.Long answer:You would need the designer's source files to make any changes of that sort.Even if you didn't, you would be looking to get his permission to modify his work - right?John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
February 15, 201115 yr As you suggest, you could use Gmax to create a totally new model of your own. Gerry Howard
February 15, 201115 yr just out of curiosity, do youmneed permission to modify someones work if you dont plan on releasing it, but for personal use only?? Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
February 15, 201115 yr Well, if it's going to be for your own use only and never given to anyone else then the original author wouldn't know anyway, would they!!I've modified several third party files for just my own use.David
