February 18, 201115 yr Hello CaptainsI was flying online yesterday and an idea came. While i was using COM1 to communicate with a control center i wanted to use COM2 to get ATIS information. Is it possible with squawkbox and pmdg 744x to hear COM1 and COM2 at the same time?I could only manage getting atis by switching freq on COM1 but in this case i lost connection with the center for that time.In real life i simple push com2 as well and can hear both at the same time. Thanks for any helpLaszlo Meszaros Laszlo Meszaros
February 19, 201115 yr Yes, tune your freq. on Com 2 (the right radio). Then under com 1 (left radio), you will see a series of boxes and little knobs underneath (6 of them). The left one will be lit up with "MIC" in little yellow letters. If you click the 3rd knob over from the left (under the box) a light will pop up over it, now your com 2 is active for receive only. If you were to click the box over it, the "MIC" will light up there, and now your com 2 will be active (which is very handy for pre-planning atc freq's in busy airspace). 99.9% sure this works, been a while since I have flown the queen online (or at all, been busy at work). February 19, 201115 yr yes this works. just like in real life. At least it does in vatsim... Cheers,Victor M. Lima
February 19, 201115 yr While it works I have experienced too much of a hazzle that needs fixing by restarting fs9, that I don't use COM2 simultanously as COM1 on VATSIM anymore. I would get echo of everything that was said over COM1 and it simply got unreadable. Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------

Does it work with the LD767? Paul Gugliotta

I would get echo of everything that was said over COM1 and it simply got unreadable. In order to avoid this make sure COM 1 and Com 2 are never at any time tuned to the same frquency. I don't know why it does that but thats how you need to set it so you never get the echo. I don't like to keep the same frquency in standby either. The only way I now of to get rid of it is to log out of VATSIM and back in. Anyone know of a better way? Chuck Biggins
