February 23, 201115 yr Hi allJust thought I would post what I have found in case it can help anyone else out there. My FSX while it never crashed, was suffering from a case of the stutters so I uninstalled it, updated my drivers, then reinstalled. Stutters gone thankfully but everytime I used FSX the PC would crash and reboot itself. This happened no matter where I was flying and the length of time it took to crash was totally random. For some reason I tried using FSX without first running Gamebooster, and hey guess what, no crash. I left it running for hours last night and all seemed to be well. Fingers crossed for the future. Hope this may help others.Specs, i7 920 @ 2.8ghz, 8gb ram, GT 240 video cardNialler
February 24, 201115 yr Hey u know what?I stopped using this overrated "PC wrecking tool" many moons ago! It's a p*s tool, makes total havock on your system, and at the same time begs for paid updates...OUT>>>>>>!!!
February 24, 201115 yr I use it one almost all my flights and have no CTD's. There must be something else not right in the FSX cfg to cause this kind of problem, which I have had n the past. When one looks at all the stuff being loaded when FSX loads, it is not a wonder that things can and do tend to crash.Having said that, Game Booster really should not cause FSX to crash, hey they use their addon stuff to pay for the site, I don't use any of that stuff, but I do respect their right to ask if you want to use it. Thats free enterprise IMHO.Bob
