March 5, 201115 yr By the way here is an old vid. talking about FSX using 256 core, and like Phil said AI and some other stuff can be move to the core in the future and that was in 2007.....listen carefully to what he's saying.....will we see that in Flight???
March 5, 201115 yr Alain,Anyone who says that FSX does not take advantage of more than 4 cores has never seen that video.Unfortunately, no more updates have been issues after SP2. So we will never see FSX take advantage of 256 cores.More cores = better terrain & AG rendering. Maybe next year we will see 8 cores. MSFS

March 8, 201115 yr @alain I am a little confused about your latest FSMark11 results (80+fps). I believe you posted around 50 fps in the pre-final FSXMark11 runs a few days ago. What has changed? Even the 50+ fps results were amazing but certainly attainable. I ran the FSXMark11 runs on a more sedate 980X (4.0GHz, mem @ 1600Mhz) today and got just about 40+ fps average.ThanksDaveWas it a vanilla FSX installation? If not, there could be other variables... Orbx scenery? UTX with road traffic? REX/ASX/FEX clouds? AI scenery packs?
