March 10, 201115 yr I have an idea, why don't they not give the discount, and use the money to fx the 757? March 11, 201115 yr Next release is going to be 757 4.5 as far as I've heard at their forums. Regards,Stan
March 11, 201115 yr Next release is going to be 757 4.5 as far as I've heard at their forums. How do you know which version is installed. I just re-installed the 757-200 from a fresh download and it is still a mess. The Ace menu has double graphics. I can't update the fuel quantity and the airplane remains as unpredictable as ever with un-commanded changes, hunting back and forth for the route, etc etc etc. I'm in agreement with others that I would consider the 707, however, the 757 in Win7 64bit has so many problems I'm not willing to take a chance with Captain Sim. March 12, 201115 yr The installer file states its version in the file name, e. g. "4400" therefore means 4.4. You can always check into your profile on the CS site and download the very latest installer if you aren't about your installed version. As you've just downloaded, 4.4 will surely be installed.I'm running the 4.4 without any of your mentioned flaws on Win7/64, so I can't agree to a general Win7/64+757 equals problems statement. The only big problem I'm aware of is this rocking AP thingy, which I only know since they have a dedicated thread over at their forums for it. I don't experience it, not on the 757 and not on the 767.I can only recommend to write and report all problems arising as detailed as you can to allow the devs to look into them. The 4.5 version is on the way if I understand the schedule and forum statements correctly. They've also opened a thread as they've started working on 4.5 to allow all customers to drop in their personal sight of things without the need to create a support ticket.

I cleaned the registry as per their help files, re-installed and was unable to activate the 767. The inconsistency of that experience precludes betting 50 bucks the 707 won't have the same problems. Thanks.Bob.. :) Bob Prince

Thanks.Bob.. :) Bob, the only thing I've tried to explain was that some issues are system/user based and others are general. Since the bird works for most people (including me), I suggest to investigate further into your system/user based problems and leave out all the statements about general flaws. For the very personal problems: CS runs a ticket system.Don't get me wrong, a dev should look into every problem arising at his customers, but a customer should avoid speaking in general when it is obviously "only" a system/user based thing. So lets play fair and honest, at every dev there is. :(
March 13, 201115 yr .......... but a customer should avoid speaking in general when it is obviously "only" a system/user based thing. So lets play fair and honest, at every dev there is. :(Are you serious? Your lecture is unnecessary and I respectfully disagree with your message. Of course I'm speaking of my personal experience. What in heavens name is this community for if not posting unique personal experiences? Good, bad and personal purchasing preferences. Finally and HONESTLY :( the ACE load manager is royally screwed up on my system. Has anyone seen a similar problem and found a solution? Thanks. Bob Prince

Bob.. :)The small words on my system would have rendered my "lecture" unnecessary. :( So it is very nice to ready them eventually in the latest post. What in heavens name is this community for if not posting unique personal experiences? They therefore should be clearly marked as personal insights, that's the point. Interpretation always starts at the reader's end. Sorry if I ran in trouble there. Ever tried updating the VB stuff, maybe the DotNet components and DirectX together with the drivers to rule out all (really) general things there? Are you running some non default windows text size maybe?Sorry, we should stay on topic of course. I once again recommend a ticket over at the CS site or some forum search/thread opening there since that's what it's for.The 707 coming at 30 Euros is a great deal in my eyes and I like the new E-3 variant too. For the guys asking about current general problems, there's a bug list online over at CS. So you might want to take a look before or after buying this plane, just in case.
March 14, 201115 yr Bob, I have the same issue with ACE on my widescreen laptop. Have already reported the prob to CS and they said will fix it in the next SP. BTW there is no this issue in 707 :) Regards,Stan
