Impatient 777

Is there any way to get better control of AI traffic iether with Radar Contact (Or maybe UT which i am using) Last night i was coming in to KSFO at rwy 28L and wached a 777 ahead of me going in to RWY 28R. Just as i dropped my nose gear onto the runway, there in front of me halfway down the Runway was the 777 looking to cross my runway on his way to the gate.Well he did just that and after standing on the brakes and using reverse thrust longer than normal, i stopped a few feet from him. Now i think about it i notice when taxiing, i am alway the one who has to hold position. Any ideas? Or is that something i will just have to put up with?BTW my Commercial traffic slider is at 50% in UT and 0% in FSX.

RC should be freezing AI while you are on final to prevent runway encroachment by AI. I am not sure at what point that protection stops such as when you are rolling outI assume you have RC Interact with AI enabled. The FS AI engine should be aware of you on the runway and stop AI crossings. It is possible to design scenery so that using the "diamond" method of running a taxiway junction across a runway that the FS protection is defeated. Some are doing this to provide crossings when AI or user aircraft are on close approach. Some users find relief in turning FS crash detection on but this can cause problems with combinations of add-on scenery containing hidden objects.

Yes RC interact with AI is enabled. I also do notice that RC always seems to hold any aircraft that are awaiting takeoff clearance. It just seems that general taxiing is not controlled.

when is the last time you updated makerwys.exe, clicked the rebuild rc scenery database?

Less than a week ago.
if you can duplicate the problem, make a log, then tell me which ai misbehaved and send me the log. i'll look and see why he didn't get frozen.jd

I'm not familiar with UT2 but be sure the AI spawning distance is set to at least 50 nm so RC at the time it assigns your runway when approaching sees the correct AI patterns. You don't want AI just popping in at too short a distance or time away from your aircraft position. Also be sure you indeed have your FSUIPC and makerwys versions up to date as follows:Get the base FSUIPC version from:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmland then interim update from the modules link on this page:http://forum.simflight.com/forum/142-download-links/From that download link page under the Additional Programs link get the latest makerwys.exeFSUIPC now self installs initially based on your registry entry for your FS path. Check that with this free utility:FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB) from http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryAfter getting FSUIPC installed and then makerwys.exe installed in your FS folder start RC and rebuild the scenery database. If you have both an FSX and FS9 installation two RC4 folders were created. Be sure you have two shortcuts for each RC version to its respective folder for each FS version. (VISTA and Win 7 users will want for each shortcut set its advanced properties to run as admin.) Rebuild from within each RC version the scenery database.
