yeah, that's the latest beta driver. Tried everything I could think of to get this to work in windowed mode

Does it work in windowed mode? Is it a good one?

I mean that new AA config everyone is trying, It doesn't work in windowed mode, just in full screen

Wekl, this new mode doesn´t work either in my system. Maybe my GTX 260 is too old for it. I never get these edge free scenery as some guys here get.

couldnt resist lol changed the settings in nvidia inspector again mesh complexity back to 100averaging 24.6 to 34fps using ftx australia rex and the pmdg airports in these pics are YMML and cairns intlchanged the LOD RADIUS to 7.5 as suggested and seems to be gettin better and better so far :) thanks i will keep at it thoughany more ideas tweaks etc ( Thanks to all who are helping and trying to fix this i appreciate it)

I had the same problem when I install FSX with SP1 and SP2. 5 minutes into any flight, I start getting blurry ground textures. I thought it was my ATi 5850 video card that was causing the blurry textures but I was wrong. I did a clean install of FSX without SP1 and SP2. After that I install FSX Acceleration. My FSX works fine now. I don't have any more blurry ground textures.

Well, I´ve encountered yesterday that I also get some blurries when i kate a fast plane like the F-16 and fly low and fast over the ground. It seems that this is ahardwar issue, that my grafic card is just a bit too old to render it in time. Because of that I´ve oc´ed it from 576 MHz to 600 MHz, maybe this helps me abit.

Best regards, Steffen

I bought an ASUS GTX580 Direct CU II card to replace my ASUS HD5870 Matrix Platinum card. After using it for a couple of week, I’ve given it up. It is hardly conceivable that such a high-end graphic card is a crap to FSX! Indeed, it has pros:1. Better depth of field compared to my previous ASUS Matrix HD58702. Framerate is about 3 to 5% more than Matrix 58703. It generates less heat and relatively quieter However, two intolerable problems with this card are:1. Texture become incurably blurry2. FSX crashes frequently I had tried all different tweaks, including BP=0, RejectThreshold, etc, etc. After a lot tweakings, I can only manage to have it running FSX smoothly; but, blurry land texture was unpreventable and the worst thing was: FSX crashed uncontrollably. Had enough with it and just replaced it back with my Matrix HD5870. Now everything back to normal and I can enjoy flight-simming again.http://fsxtimes.word...0-direct-cu-ii/

Don't know what you're doing, buddy, nor how it's setup, but my personal experience - doing exactly the same thing as you (ASUS ATI 5870) is exactly the opposite. My fps improved - now no issues with thunderstorms: I have both AG and scenery at the high point - and i have no issues with stuttering, tearing, blurries or shimmering, and I don't have to control vertical sync from within the fsx.cfg file (that little gem costs 5 or 6 fps). You did something wrong somewhere.

Hi Tam; Here is mine; The AntiAliasing - setting is experimantal -- from a recent post here. Yours is correct, but the rest is quite different from mine. Try it, see what results you get.

Paul, you should set your AA to "Overide any app settings" instead of "Application controlled" or it will not run 64x_4v12
