March 23, 201115 yr Is anyone using TrackIR 4 Pro with a vector clip thing? I have just got a used one and I can't get it to work properly. The head/view just rolls/twitches around the screen at random. I have tried all the profiles and the settings within TrackIR software but nothing seems to work.Anyone got any suggestions?Andy S

March 23, 201115 yr Probably light from a lamp or sun light?! There's a view in TIR setup where you can see if there's anything else than three dots being seen by the sensor.Bjorn "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
March 23, 201115 yr Author I think it's the Track Clip that is broken. The three LED lights don't light up at all. I assume they should?Andy S
March 23, 201115 yr Not sure they should, it's IR after all. You mean the clip itself lights up, right? .If the dots don't show in the setup window, then there's some power issue. USB power saving on?But no dots wouldn' t make TIR go all over the place..B "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
March 23, 201115 yr Try locking the profile for FS9 in the TrackIR software. There should be an option to make it the only profile that is used.-Al
March 23, 201115 yr Author When looking at the camera view on the software I can't see the three green dots. All I can really see is a vague outline of my head and part of my shoulder in red/green. I still can't see the three dots when any of the settings are altered. I assume all you should see are the three green dots?Andy S
March 24, 201115 yr Yes it should look like the following when you click View->Tracking.Try selecting exclusive-load in the main profiles page as shown in the second picture below. Also make sure there aren't light sources behind you.-Al
March 25, 201115 yr If your outline shows up then there's too much light in the room. Or you sit in the dark with very bright monitor? Thats exactly what makes the view like tornado-cam. It should only read the three dots. Any reflective items on clothing will also interfere.B "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
March 26, 201115 yr Not to highjack the thread, but how does trackIR react to say if i leave the virtual cockpit to go get a drink, or if im looking down at my charts etc, does that have any adverse effect? Especially when i return to the aircraft(trackIr's field of view) Im more curious on the fact that if i leave the flight deck, out of trackIR's view to go get some snacks or drinks, then come back, will operate properly once returned? Thanks Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
