No black box.

No black box.
What did you expect. This is the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. There is no such thing as perfect circumstances.Research South African Airways Flight 295 for another type crash out over an ocean in deep deep waters. It took them just over 2 years to find that Black Box. What makes you think you can find a Black Box any sooner in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Hi,

No black box.
Indeed .. but parts of the plane where can be the black boxes. The next phase is called "phase 5"No more REMUS but instead the use of ROV's for a detailed exploration of parts of the wreckage and possible recovery of parts and the black boxes particulary if localized. If phase 5 does not to find these boxes .. we may sayNo black boxes :( Regards.bye.gifGus.

The transponder batteries are long dead, but now that they've located the primary debris field, I think there's a pretty good chance the boxes will be recovered. The next question is how well they've held up to the water pressure at that depth for 2 years.

I guess there are more bodies found in the wreckage. That will open up wounds all over again, as all families that have not had their loved ones returned to them will be back living the nightmare.Kind regards,

It has already been said a few times - the factors of depth and time do not pose a problem.

I think we should treat it like the "Titanic" and leave it alone, It won't bring back the Passengers. And It will just reopen old wounds. If we do go down there they might as well try to find the bodies in the Arizona. There's a thread about this at Flightsim also.

This is an outlandish suggestion. How would investigators know what caused the crash? It may not bring the departed back but findings could save many more lives to come... Regulations in aviation are written in blood.

Agreed. I often shake my head in disbelief when I read some of those posts, I am not sure if they are for real or meant as some kind of jokes.
