Are there ANY successful PSS patch stories?

Featured Replies

I am curious if anyone has had success with the latest round of PSS patches. If so, please share them here. All I've heard so far is negatives... I need some positive reinforcement as I reload my machine. -Greg

Hi GregQuit your whining.I`ve had 777 since FS2000 and I`m still waiting for them to patch it.Comments as always welcome

The Dash 8 loads and works ok for me with good frame rates. The only issue I have is torque on both engines indicate zero at full throttle.BobP :)

On the Dash 8, how do you get good frame rates? I am getting 4-5fps with a P4, 3.0 Ghz processor and 1G DDRAM. Geforce FX 5900 vid card.Same problem with the Vulcan. Frames rates are horrible inside and outside the aircraft.Brent Hebert

>Hi Greg>>Quit your whining.I`ve had 777 since FS2000 and I`m still>waiting for them to patch it.>>Comments as always welcomeThey never said they were patching the 777 for FS2k4. They are making a whole new 777, not a patch.

Same here - Dash8 - good frame rates - no torque.A32x series - control issues - can't move control surfaces except in certain views at certain times, PLUS, the flickering mouse issue.A330/ A340 - They went the full 180 - now both of the 330 series have center tanks - only the 200 is susposed too. The 340 - they didn't even fix the night panel around the gear and autobrake - still "unlit" when rest of cockpit is in night lighting mode, and I can't get cockpit lighting at all in the VC.PSS is beginning to really scare me - this now has been going on for months IMHO (since the initial 330/340 release). One failure after another - what next?Joe Lorenc

The FDE's were also not updated for the 330/340, 340 still outclimbs a fighter. No fixes for any of the panel issues reported over and over. Load edit for the the A320 series is no where to be found either. So far, the only thing 2 months of waiting for this patch has gotten me is an A320 that goes real fast down the runway and then crashes in to some poor shmucks house at the end of the runway. I love how PSS puts out a patch and then disappears. No one can even help each other in there moderated forum. I can fully imagine them tomorrow saying, "Patch is out and it fixes what we needed to fix. We now must move on. No further updates at this time".Well, let's hope PMDG does not disappoint.

Hi,Do you have the line panelastexure=1 in your FS9.cfg?.the Dash8 is one of the planes that has terrible framerates on the 2D panel if I do not have this line in it.As for the sucess, everything is ok, apart from the zero readings on the torque gauges, I did have black areas, but a fresh Dash8 install sorted that.Dan.

Except for the torque gauge problem that others have listed, ran a test flight from KSFO to KLAX with no problems using the Dash 8. Experienced none of the graphics problems others have listed and all the systems including the FMC seemed to function normally. John

Yeah the Dash is fine, save the torque gauges. But when you put all of this together, as I do because I own every product they've released, it's infuriating. Even the Vulcan has a couple of minor issues that are being widely reported. ##### PSS?I'm gonna go take Eaglesoft's 400A for a spin...hopefully I'll be in a better mood afterwards :-mad
