Freeware that autotunes e comm?

Featured Replies

I'm not clear what you want? The FS ATC system will auto-tune your radio without any additional keypresses, it will do this when you make the necessary keypress to speak to ATC.RC and PFE do just the same, no more.John
Untrue, PFE and RC do MUCH more, they HANDLE ALL communications. I do not have to do ANYTHING with ATC if I don't want to. It all depends on what PNF mode you select. To say PFE and RC do the same thing as default ATC nothing more is like saying the PMDG is the same as the default 744, they both fly nothing more... As for the OP, you asked for freeware, we gave you payware alternatives as there were no freeware add-ons to do what you want. <<Text Removed by Mod - anymore snippy comments/attempts at argument and I'm locking the thread!>>

Of course they do more, but all the original poster asked for was the means to autotune the radio. In that respect all three are identical. If that's all he wants, I personally think it is bad advice to tell him to buy a comprehensive ATC product just for that.John

My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star!

Wow, bad advice? No one told him to do anything... We gave him alternatives to what he asked for that do what he asked and now he can make a decision for himself... To say they do nothing more without clarifying that you only meant in that particular respect is grossly misleading IMHO.I am with Jim on this one, sorry for even chiming in and trying to offer an alternative...And to the mods, come on, I can't disagree with what someone said and call BS on someone else's comment? It wasn't an attempt to start an argument it was not agreeing with what someone else said... What the heck is wrong with that? wow, I knew there was a reason after all these years of contributing I barely ever post here anymore...

Hi Johan.I wish I could be of more help, but the only thing I can think of that's close to what you want, not totally automated, but hands free, is a Voice control software like SpeechBuddy2. This is / was a free utility that I am not sure if it's still available here at AVSIM, or anywhere,You got a couple a hard core simmers on your six, I only hope that the Mods run interference for you and keep them in check. Post here if you want / need more info on SpeechBuddy2. TV

..

...............And to the mods, come on, I can't disagree with what someone said and call BS on someone else's comment? Your BS comment was not the only thing that was removed. There's a lot more that's gone from your post in fact, especially the end. So don't even try to pretend you don't know the reasons for these removals. You were trying to pick a fight and I'm not talking about the BS comment at all - this was removed as a matter of consequence, following the other removal. This is not up for further discussion!Don't see much reason why things degraded like that here, but Enough is Enough and I'm locking this thread now.-----------Capt. Windh,I think there is no freeware that does what you want. At least I'm not aware of any. Sorry. The payware choices mentioned already, appear to be the only alternatives. The 'SpeechBuddy2' mentioned by Avcomware in the prior post might be of some use to you, all 3 files we have for it are here:http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=SpeechBuddy2&CatID=root&Go=Search(program: speechbuddy2-211.zip ; and updates: sb212-update.zip , sb2-fs2002.zip)It supported FS2002 originally (and other sims, including Fly2 and X-plane 6), I don't know if it will work for FS9 and FSX.I don't think anything more useful can come come out of this thread, only arguments it seems - its why I'm locking it.
