Hello Bryan,it is defintely a problem for me, had it now for the fourth time!At the last time it happened after engine start. I started voice commander with the before start checklist (not from the begining because I wanted to see if I can reproduce the problem). The last thing I did was to disconnect from the ground crew. Then I switched on A/TH and ordered Flaps 5 and nothing happened. After that I said "set flaps five" and the window changed to FO action and nothing happens. As you can see in the log the FO got it wrong (set flaps five speed). Here is the CVR logSim Clock (16:53:59) - Captain: before start procedureSim Clock (16:55:31) - Captain: before start checklistSim Clock (16:55:34) - Captain: closed and lockedSim Clock (16:55:35) - Captain: pumps onSim Clock (16:55:38) - Captain: onSim Clock (16:55:40) - Captain: lockedSim Clock (16:55:43) - Captain: setSim Clock (16:55:45) - Captain: setSim Clock (16:55:49) - Captain: completedSim Clock (16:55:52) - Captain: free and zeroSim Clock (16:55:55) - Captain: completedSim Clock (16:55:56) - Captain: setSim Clock (16:56:07) - Captain: cockpit to groundSim Clock (16:56:09) - Captain: offSim Clock (16:56:11) - Captain: we are ready for engine startSim Clock (16:56:13) - Captain: offSim Clock (16:56:22) - Captain: start engine twoSim Clock (16:57:06) - Captain: start engine oneSim Clock (16:57:29) - Captain: openSim Clock (16:57:38) - Captain: openSim Clock (16:57:49) - Captain: openSim Clock (16:57:57) - Captain: you are cleared to disconnect and go to hand signalsSim Clock (16:58:18) - Captain: set flaps five speedThanks,Holger

It's simple:F/O Action after Ground Crew D/C is preparing plane for taxi.To set flaps you must say: FLAPS X (without SET and SPEED)Try this.

Unfortunately it is not that simple :(Probably not pretty clear im my text above. I first said "flaps 5" and nothing happens. There after I tried the "set flaps 5" command. But that is not the basic problem. The basic problem is the FO Actions freezing which stops voice commander continuing with the checklists... I think the problem is that when voice commander recognizes a false positive (in this case set flaps 5 speed instead of flaps 5), in situation where the FO can´t do that command it leads to the FO action freezing. At least I think so ;-) Cheers,Holger

Before Taxi Trigger -> Calling for the takeoff flap selection. If cold weather procedures are in effect, the trigger phrase is “LEAVE THE FLAPS UP”. 1. Set takeoff flaps (if non-cold weather procedure in effect). 2. Confirm Gen 1 voltage on Voltmeter. 3. Engine Generators on. 4. Probe Heat on. 5. Engine and Wing Anti Ice as required. 6. Packs auto. 7. Isolation Valve auto. 8. APU Bleed off. 9. APU off. 10. Reset Packs. 11. Engine Start Switches to Cont (only if ‘Auto’ not available). 12. Taxi light on. 13. Blank lower display unit. 14. Recall.
Can you told us, whether the F/O performs the above steps, before you said: Flaps 5?When I was testing this software i've never experienced problem, which you describe. I think, that false positive isn't a reason of F/O action freezing. I will check it again in few minutes :)

No,the FO didn´t perform the after engine start flow. I also never had have such problems with previous voice commander version. Up to now I had it four times and not ever at the same time (situation) but each time it was connected to the FO action. This is because I thought it has something to do with a false positive. The FO try to do a command which he can´t do at this time so it forces voice commander to a endless loop (FO Action freezing) Only a guess ....Newly I use FS real time. probably there are conflicts with that program? Thanks,Holger

Ok, sorry, I can't help you, we must wait for Bryan ;) Did you tried to reinstall FS2Crew software?

Hi Holger,I owe you a beer. :( Based on your report, I was able to reproduce your bug. Please contact me via the contact page and I'll send you an updated gauge.Thing to note:When the mode says: <SET TO FLAPS>, only use one of the the following commands, exactly word for word. Do not add "set" or "select" or anything. 1. Leave the Flaps up for taxi.2. Flaps One3. Flaps Two4. Flaps Five5. Flaps Ten6. Flaps Fifteen7. Flaps Twenty FiveCheers,

Thank you Bryan, glad that you could find a solution! I was starting to think that it has something to do with FS real time which has already caused a few problems with another voice program I use and further more nobody else seems to have this special problem here.I know that I have to say only "flaps X". I tried "set flaps 5" because nothing happened at this time. I think my articulation was not clear enough for this command (flaps 5) at this time. However it seems to have a good sideeffect in identifying a small bug ;)Thanks,Holger

Hi Holger,Yes, you found an obscure bug I would not have otherwise found. That's a good thing.Check your email. I sent you an updated gauge.Cheers,

Hi,i have the same problem. But i wasn´t sure where it comes from. I was still testing. Best regardsChristian
The problem came from using an unexpected command when the mode is in <SET TO FLAPS>If it happens during another time as well, please let me know exactly when.Cheers,

Hi Bryan, after a long time I have this problem again! This time during the after take off flow or passing FL100 flow, not sure ..... I´m currently on the way to the Canary Island and I dont want to stop my flight. Is there a way to reset voice commander during the flight? It is currently in a endless FO action loop ....Thanks,Holger
