Scenery for Norway

Featured Replies

Hey guys,Since I installed and learned to fly the iFly 737NG, I've been flying around Scandinavia for the most parts. From Stockholm to Bergen and back, now flying from Stockholm to Vaernes. I have sceneries for all these airports and I have UTX and GEX, but I was wondering if there is more available to make Norway as stunning as it is in reality. I guess what I really want is something of the quality of OrbX's NA series, but for Norway. Can anybody recommend anything of the kind?

There's Norway Scenic X, freeware landclass for Norway with updated coastlines, rivers and lakes -> http://www.flightsim...a/norge/24.htmlThe same site also links many different sceneries like smaller airports and bigger ones as well, you can see the complete list at http://www.flightsim.no/fsno/filbibliotek/fsx/scenery/europa/norge.html. The text is mostly in Norwegian tho. I recommend giving google translate a try and if there's still something you dont understand then let me know and I'll try to translate

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a look!Flying into Vaernes as I type. The scenery, the nature, the hills, lakes and actually bloody all of it is soooo beautiful! Really makes me wonder why I don't fly into these places more often.

Yeah, I love flying into Værnes as well, especially from north around the coast line. Its a fun approach.

It's only an airport but, the Aerosoft ENGM Oslo is very well done.

I've been thinking about getting it for a while now, but I'm still not really convinced. It's a major airport of course, but somehow it doesn't seem like the best purchase because of its location. What do you guys think? Should I get it?

Still any opinions on Mega Airport Oslo?Just flew into Helsinki. A flight has hardly ever been this perfect. By god, what a beautiful flight. As I took of at Stockholm Arlanda, the wing trying to blow me firmly off the runway, I engaged the A/P and started following the route. Flying over the golf of Bothnia, I looked at all the tiny islands, and the sun started to set. Beautiful, vivid colors (thanks REX!) were of an almost enchanting beauty. ATC toold me to descent, and my little 737-600 started did so with pleasure. Landing at helsinki, the sun was setting. Calmy, gently, the A/P flared and the aircraft set itself down.Seriously, oh my god. This is everything that I wanted to get out of FSX, and FS in general for that matter. Made loads of screenshots which I will probably upload at a later date.THANKS iFly, REX, GEX, UTX, the Finnish Scenery Design group, and last but not least, Microsoft. You guys have all worked together to deliver me a stunning flight, on all acounts. Couldn't have been happier!

I personally like Mega Airport Oslo, but I am biased as it is my home airport. Its only a single airport, the airbridges are not animated and the framerate isnt great. It looks pretty good tho. For me it was a nobrainer airport to get, for non Norwegians I can see how its not quite as important to get.

It's nice scenery I've been using it for quite sometime.

A Mega Airport Kopenhagen would be nice, can't find a good rendition for fsx

I have been eyeing that one for quite some time, but was never convinced by it. I know Aerosoft will/is making one, which makes the problem bigger. Is this Copenhagen scenery worth buying?
