May 22, 201115 yr Commercial Member As stated, I have a thin, blue line running horizontally across the screen (note the line just above the tail). Is this what is referred to as a "tear"? I have vsync enabled in both full screen and window mode. Also have tried it with an external limiter on and off but no change there. Is this related to vsync or is there another ajustment I need. This is using an Nvidia 580 card. thx,Clutch Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) May 22, 201115 yr Moderator Hard to tell from that pic since its so small, but I think you are looking at the base of the clouds above the tail which apprears as a straight line. The easiest way to test it would be to try some other weather themes, creat your own, download the weather, or try a clear sky and see if the line is still there, but from that pic it just looks like the base of a cloud layer to me. May 22, 201115 yr Author Commercial Member Ok, I re-inserted a larger, more detailed screenshot. If you click on it, it will enlarge to reveal in more detail. I too first thought it was just the edge of the cloud layer but at closer observation you can see this line moving (shifting, oscillating?) very slightly even if I am at a stand-still position.Good idea about trying different weather. A quick tests seems to suggest it only appears with clouds. If I choose clear skies I see no line. And it might only happen with cirrus or high elevation clouds. Still experimenting. May 22, 201115 yr Yeah, this looks like a weather engine - or weather configuration problem: it looks like the bottom of a cloud layer, doesn't it? So - what weather engine are you using? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
May 22, 201115 yr Author Commercial Member That is using the default clouds and the default weather engine. The selection where it appears most prominent is when using the Fair Weather theme. Using real-world or some of the other themes it goes away... Mmmm interesting.
