NGX control in FSX ?

Featured Replies

Hello,Can anyone confirm if the NGX will allow setup of controls via the standard FSX menu (like the other PMDG aircraft) and that we won't have to go through Fsuipc (which does not offer the same smoothness for some controls like pan view...)Thank you

too much, too soon....

I dont see why it would be any different then the other PMDG planes, but FSUIPC does give more options for some aspects so for some functions you may want to but overall I believe it can be programmed through FSX.

will Linda allow for a nice hat switch Pn View as smooth as the standard FSX control ? because Fsuipc is not good on this control...

I dont think so, because LINDA is just a GUI for FSUIPC`s Lua script. Maybe I'm wrong

If FSX standard control does the job, why do you need any other tools for the same task? LINDA allows to assign custom (non-standard) controls easily, but if you like some aspects of standard FSX assignments -- use them! This will not collide with LINDA.I'm using EZCA for panning around - it has it's own settings for joysticks.

In some aspects LINDA is "just a GUI", in some others - it's more than that. LINDA implements it's own HID-devices driver, which allows you to use controllers with more than 32 buttons (i.e. X52) and all buttons will work.

I agree that FSUIPCs panning is not so good as FSX ones. But no need to do without one or the other.I use now LINDA for all my buttons, FSUIPC for all my Axis assignments, and FSX control just for the panning. Here is the snippet of my controls.xml.I have deleted all assignments except the panning
