Animation in scenery objects

Featured Replies

If the trees are now swaying in the wind what else can we expect to see from the scenery, moving water in rivers and waterfalls, more animation at airports like hangar doors, fuel trucks that attach to aircraft. How about snow on the ground. It's all eye candy I know but it does look nice.

All those things sound great, I'd particularly like to see accumulating snow according to real world weather conditions, though I suppose that's not necessarily a trivial matter in terms of implementation or performance.

Interactive airport environment would be cool, imagine if you taxi up to your hanger click on a toolbox and go into a mechanical menu to service the plane, add rims and a sound system, tint the windows and gold plate the control surfaces.Waterfalls wouldn't be too hard to impement, you can even do it in FSX, proper waves and undulating ocean surfaces would be cool. I'd like to see more animals, pedestrians and people, realistic road traffic patterns, busses, trucks, trains... one can dream.

Although there are many things I would like to see, Cumulative snow would be incredible.Regards

Best regards, happy flying,

Wallace

It would be really nice if they could give developers access to the wind speed and wind direction variables in scenery objects so we can make some decent windsocks. With FSX access to these variables was cutoff so if you need a custom windsock in FSX you have to use an FS9 model. Somehow I don't think FS9 models will be compatible with MS Flight.
