July 3, 201114 yr Can we expect price cut on MD11 anytime soon?Tomi,I honestly believe that the MD11 is (currently) the best airliner add-on out there, and certainly so for FS9. Worth every penny as it is! Mark Adeane - NZWN

July 3, 201114 yr I would buy it... it's better on frames than the 747 and i haven't recognized any bugs so far. It's really worth its price regards, Alexander Marx
July 3, 201114 yr I have almost every airliner available for fsx. MD11 is the one I use most of the time. Worth every penny. Cockpit lighting alone is a work of art. Roland Schmalzl
July 6, 201114 yr Author I would buy it... it's better on frames than the 747 and i haven't recognized any bugs so far. It's really worth its priceHi!Have you tested 2d cockpit performance 747 versus md11? I'm asking because I can barely run fs9 747 on my hardware. I still would like to learn the systems on md11 and do a little flying in a 2d cockpit. Tomi Lansipaltta
July 6, 201114 yr On my old slower system the MD11 was smoother than the 747 in the 2D and 3D. Thanks Mat -|- Win 11 Pro, 14900K, Asus Strix Z790, 64Gb Corsair Vengeance, MSI 5090 - Hardware: MFG, Thrustmaster, Logitch, Honeycomb, Virpil, WinWing & Tobii. July 6, 201114 yr I wouldn't count on it, but with PMDG you get what you pay for exceptional quality, each add on gets better and better. I wouldent be a bit surprised if the new NGX was $80 as well, but well worth it.Michael Pare. Michael Pare Extreme Boeing 737NG fanatic
July 6, 201114 yr Hi!Have you tested 2d cockpit performance 747 versus md11? I'm asking because I can barely run fs9 747 on my hardware. I still would like to learn the systems on md11 and do a little flying in a 2d cockpit.Well i've an Intel E7500 2*2.9 Ghz 4GB ram and an ATI 4800 HDThe 747 is quite hard on frames, in EDDF 2D-panel i get around 18-20 fps.The md11 works fine with 25 fps (locked, 28 was the max i reached with unlimited frames) in the same situation. So basically thats the difference between nice flying and stuttering. The MD11 VC view runs with around 22-24 fps. These numbers are on medium settings, tweaked fsx.cfg and only default scenery nice weather.Hope this helps :) (ps. i'm always wondering how well my system handles complex airliners :) ) regards, Alexander Marx

I still would like to learn the systems on md11 and do a little flying in a 2d cockpit. For Fs9 I got about 40-50 in the 747 and usually around the lines of like 60-70 with the MD-11. Its so beautiful and graceful i'm gonna go fly it now Nathan Cupps, VZAB Instructor
