Many can't. July 11, 201114 yr I have an E7400 processor (core 2 duo @ 2.8GHz) with an old GT 430 graphics card. My frame rates in fs9 are over 100 (but I've now locked them at 35), but when I went into heavy clouds, they used to drop to 10-12.I've just upgraded the card to A GTX550 Ti and also purchased a bigger PSU (585W) and WHAT a DIFFERENCE !!!I've now set the cloud res in AS6 to the highest quality setting and also increased the cloud draw distance to MAX (everything to do with clouds is at MAX)and now in heavy clouds the framerates do NOT drop below 35.So, yes, it is worthwile to get a better graphics card. It won't improve the overall performance of fs9, but it makes a massive improvement with the weather and clouds.I do NOT regret making the move. Trevor
July 11, 201114 yr Author Hi trevorIs your computer a packard bell??I've heared that the PSU may not be a standard one, and might not be easy to change, did you have any problems?Cheers, Adam. Adam

July 11, 201114 yr The 460 will work just fine for your system, and does not require all that much power. The 460 needs at least a 450W supply and a 6-pin PCIe connector capable of supplying ~24A on the pigtail used to power it.A lot of the Packard Bell machines are woefully underengineered in the PSU department straight out of the box.
