July 16, 201114 yr ok, I like to keep my fs as real as I know how to get itbut it just seems I'm wasting a lot of paper printing my charts from airnav, etcok, I always print the airport diagram and then all of the ILS approaches, and min. dep. proceduresbut my question is what about gps approaches or vor and ndb as well? do I need all of those? or ???want to keep it real but don't want to print and waste tons of paper eitherideas?I've thought about going electronic but I don't like soaking up fs resources when flying and have always like the feel of real charts Ciao!
July 17, 201114 yr I do mostly the same but I don´t print all of the approaches, only the one I will fly or expect to fly. This saves a lot paper. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
July 17, 201114 yr I use 2 PC's, one for the sim and the other for programs that accompany it. I use the other PC to run ASE and EFB (electronic flight bag) and I use it to connect to the internet and display SIDS and STARS that I am interested in. Haven't printed a chart in a long time. \Robert Hamlich/

July 18, 201114 yr To save on paper having a laptop or netbook even can solve the problem, as charts can be loaded up on there! If you want to be really fancy then have the charts on your ipad2!Kris
