July 18, 201114 yr I am running the trial of VOXATC (fresh download from VOX site) and I am really close to buying it but I have a problem that is annoying. During flight ATC requests an AI plane to increase altitude, the AI plane responds. This request/response happens over and over until the plane reaches the requested altitude. This has happened in a few flights now. I have Ultimate Traffic 2 installed and did run the bridge tool. I think it is using the UT2 planes but I am still not sure if it is using all of them. I disabled UT2 completely so the UT2 service is not even running. Maybe this was a mistake? I read that disabling UT2 service was the way to go. Also, assuming I can get this issue solved, are there any online stores that sell VOXATC 6 registrations other then the developers site?
July 18, 201114 yr Got the same problem regardless to VOXATC. Running UT2, ATC request AI. is not respondingYair
July 18, 201114 yr I don't use UT2, so can't say if the problem is specific to that AI package. However, on the occasions I've found VoxATC acting like this it's been down to the program not having enough CPU cycles. I typically dedicate a couple of cores to 3rd party addons as I have a Hexacore CPU and this typically keeps VoxATC running smoothly.I would suggest trying the following:1. As FSX uses Core0 primarily, I would suggest assigning VoxATC to the latter cores.2. Raise the priority of VoxATC (there is a tool included for this).3. Reduce the level of traffic that VoxATC is generating. I typically use around 40%.Hope some of the above helps.Chris
July 19, 201114 yr I have Vox + UT2 and I never saw that issue, but again I have a 6 core CPU (Xeon) and I set my Vox to run on core 0 (suggested by FSPS - I am also running Xtreme FSX PC / FSXBooster)set to normal priority. Joel Strikovsky
July 20, 201114 yr Right now I am listening the following conversation. over and over and over again.A: "B Do you copy"B: "A Say again"A: "A Roger"again and again and again and again... If the windows weren't closed and if I wasn't at FL320, I would jump out :)I have traffic at 40 % and run VoxATC on core 8. Helge Rasmussen

July 21, 201114 yr you mean 4 core (HT doesn't count in FSX)If i would you I would send an email to their support (not bad support they got, used them few times)http://www.voxatc.com/Contact.aspx Interesting. Though FSX may not run on HT, doesn't mean VoxATC won't. However, personally I've found overall it is best to run with HT disabled.I did find 4 core CPU a struggle with VoxATC, obviously depending on settings.Chris
July 21, 201114 yr Interesting. Though FSX may not run on HT, doesn't mean VoxATC won't. You got a point there :( Joel Strikovsky
July 21, 201114 yr Hmm ok, so you think its a good idea to turn hyperthreading off? Is that a BIOS thing?Anyway, I changed VoxATC's priority a notch up (Above normal I think), and just had a flight that went without a hitch, so hopefully that was it. Helge Rasmussen
July 21, 201114 yr Hyperthreading is controlled through the bios, and is a simple on off function. There is no right or wrong, it's just a case of seeing what works best for your system. If changing the priority has worked for you and FSX is working well, I'd say keep things as they are.Chris
