Hi all,In preparation of the NGX, I've decided to buy TrackIR and wondered if you guys could advise if I should get v4.0 or v5.0. Should I be mindful of anything else before the purchase? Many thanks

I would always go for the latest version available, greatest degree of future-proof! Unless of course the difference in price is HUGE and you need to save a bit (for the NGX maybe?) Andrew

Thanks Andrew. I am normally hesitant in buying the latest hardware in case theres issues and the manufacturer takes long to address it. Cheers

try "free track", its for free ;)

if you already had the v4 I wouldn't say you need to upgrade ...if you have neither get the v5, except you get a v4 like for $20

v5 has enhanced resolution for better tracking. It was a noticeable improvement when I upgraded from v4.

I had a v4 and now I have a v5. There's not really a noticeable difference, in my opinion. However, make absolutely sure that you get the Track Clip Pro. It makes an enormous difference, especially if you have anything at all reflective behind your chair. -stefan
