Right a few things Just did the tutorial flight again and didn't have an OOM.I checked quite a few things and I was surprised that the UIautomationcore.dll was in the WOWsys and Sys32 foldersALTHOUGH I HAD AT SOME POINT DELETED THEMThe one in the FSX was gone. So i deleted them again and no OOM.If this is the reason for the OOM has to be seen. But is shows that one has to check all angels again. So for now it looks OK. More to follow

This dll corrupts other dll's in ther FSX environment and is a known problem. (Plenty of forums full about this) To be able to delete this file you need to take ownership of the file.Open CMD prompt and right click to run as administrator and then type in exactly as below substituting your windows login username where it says username:takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dllcacls C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll /G username:Ftakeown /f C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dllcacls C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll /G username:FNow you can just navigate to your syswow64 and system32 folders in windows explorer and after backing up the UIautomationcore.dll files just delete them from your computer

G'Day all I increased the UserVA from 2048 to 2560, attempted to fly and saw an improvement with regards to OOMs (I made it to the runway at Orbx YMMLv2 before it died)I have now increased it to 3072 and I managed to complete two sectors before I got a different error message that killed FS. (Access violation from memory) My question...By increasing the UserVA to 3072 and only 1GB to Windows (My understanding), am I going to be asking for more trouble somewhere else? eg; Loading up ASE or even Internet explorer? i7 870 2600GhzGeForce GTX460 1GBW7 Home x32 (yeah I know)

Where is your FSX installed? If it is in Programs Files(86), get it out of there...NOW (Do not pass GO, do not collect $200).Ryan told me to install FSX in C:\Microsoft FlightsimulatorX, and that is what I did.Start the sim, make sure it works, shut it down and go to ******* Bojote tweaks and get a replacement FSX.CFG file. This is what I did and "Voala!" no more OOM errors (so far) and everything is running smooth as silk. Bob
Guys Gimme some creditOfcourse it isn't installed in C;\aAnywhereIt has its own HDD. It is Win 7 64 bit and all that is standared installation procedure and yes followed to instructions of PMDG and yes and yes and yes But there still have been OOM's Now I have upgraded the machien with a bigger grafix caRD WHICH HAS 2 GB Ram and presto at the moment no OOM's and far better FPS ( I have an extra topic open on this) So stay tuned as I am still tuning

It's 1GB for the OS... for each application that's running. Try it, it wont hurt, you can always roll back the changes later on

Another thing that can be tried is to disable Superfetch (Windows memory management). That made a big improvement for me.

Well, this is just wrong. UIAutomationcore.dll is required by multiple windows applications. Deleting the file from your system folders would cause issues for those programs (I believe that Media Player is one of those programs that uses uiautomationcore.dll, at least for some of its features. Other programs uses it as well). Deleting that file is very bad advice. Instead you should drop a working version of uiautomationcore.dll into your fsx folder.

Thanks Dario! This may not be what causes all the OOMs... but I seem to be having success by increasing the UserVA to 3072. The only other "tweak" I have used is the ******* 'Bojote' Altuve fsx.cfg
