August 6, 201114 yr I'm trying to get the NGX to work with TOPCAT. What should I use for the dry operating weight, MTOW, MZFW and MLDW? What is the pax weight used by the NGX? EDIT: I figured out the PAX weight and DOW, 175 and 92.5K respectively. Also, what is the max payload?
August 6, 201114 yr I just enter the gross weight and landing weight to get the assumed temps and flap settings and for the auto break suggestions. As for CG and trim and V-speeds, I trust the FMS and go with what it gives me. August 6, 201114 yr It says in the introduction manual, that you should not use any 3rd party products to load the A/C or alter the cfg file. However, I too use TOPCAT and just enter the T/O weight to get correct derated T/O values and such... Over at TOPCAT forum, there has been some asking for a config file, but according to the before mentioned manual, it's not ment to be I guess...? Mas Martin Jensen
August 6, 201114 yr i use topcat all the time for accurate loading and deratings it will be interesting to see if the ngx will work with it, i doubt that the cfg files would be safe to use with the ngx as is but hopefully there will be something in the near future Name : Stuart McIntyreVatsim ID : 932425http://www.flyuk.aero
August 6, 201114 yr I used the built-in 737-800 aicraft in TopCat and the single cabin layout Y174. Then set the adult weight to about 155 lbs in the TopCat config, and used no children or infants which somewhat coorespond to the built-in payload FMC manager in the PMDG airplane. I used Topcat to estimate everything but manually entered my fuel (calculated from FSBuild), and my payload (from topcat) using the built-in FMC management console. Make sense? August 8, 201114 yr This is kind of a "newbish" question, but since TOPCAT doesn't support the -900 model, can I get away with selecting their -800 with reasonable takeoff thrust derate accuracy? -Michael Tucker Michael Tucker
