SteveCan you be a bit more specific? If you are talking about how the light extinguishes during capture.... You will find this explained in the manuals!

The only thing I found (and I understand it could very well be me) was that APP would neither arm nor capture G/S on a second approach after a G/A. Resetting/recycling A/P, A/T and F/D didn't quite help much either. Hitting APP would do the same as VOR LOC, and not arm G/S at all although it clearly received it (as it was the same approach like the first one). Gotta investigate. sig.gif

Seems like on some approaches the GS capture is deactivated by default, and you must select it manually in the CDU for the APP function to follow it. Could be your problem.

Thanks, but as I said, I was once flying that app (into BFI so nothing too fancy here), everything worked normal. G/A'ed, turned around, and on the second try no more G/S arming let alone capture. Just LOC. Kinda confused me a little, but I will try to replicate it and investigate. sig.gif

My fave airport is EGCC Manchester, that and EGGP Liverpool-I have a home brew EGCB Barton I`ve worked on for too long now, must finish that one day. I`m inbetween the two and not too far from Barton either so spoilt listening to the pilots on my airband radio. A lot of my virtual flights start and end there, if I don`t fly back the same day I save it at that exact gate so I can fly back another day. I can`t stop watching the wing flex on the 737 NGX, its so realistic and reminds me of a lot of real world flights I`ve made and watched that flex out the window.
