Fix green line.

Featured Replies

how to insert ( edit ) the green line represents the line of the runway. like this 776603TUT3.jpg Thank you ! -----------------------Mathieu Laws

You want to get rid of the green line? Or: Press the POS switch on your EFIS panel (but i think it is not engaged since you have to see some diamonds around that triangle (aircraft indicator) ;)OR: check your FIX page in the FMC. Possibly be you entered there a Navaid and a specific radial. Although i think that is unlikely since you are asking to get rid of it. Or: Set your left VOR/ADF switch on the EFIS panel to off position (in the center).

Sorry i dont speak english very good, i want to insert this green line. Thank you.

That just shows you the position of the plane, just in case something goes wrong. Only pilots would under stand the letters and numbers. The line thats shows you the runway is white and dotted. The line thats shows you the runway is white and dotted.

I I thought he wanted to get rid of his green line, as stated in my previous post, and I do understand the letters and numbers in the position mode ;) As been said, the dashed line that extends from the runway is actually white. The line shown in your image is a radial from or to (in this case) from the Ockham VOR. You can get this green line by setting the frequency in the NAV1 radio and select the radial you want in the CRS window on your MCP. You can also enter the Fix Page in the FMC by pressing the FIX button and enter the desired Navaid identifier at the LSK1. There you can enter a radial at LSK2 under RAD. For the white dotted line that represents approach path to the runway, you need to set up a departure and arrival Airport in your RTE page and then select a departure and/or arrival runway in the DEP/ARR page. But i think the best thing is to read the Tutorial and manuals!

I could not really see it in that video but this is rather simple. The dotted green line is an extension of the VOR radial so all you do is tune the VOR at Madiera and set the course. Best way to do that is in the FMC on the FIX page. The dotted white line is the center line of the runway extended out 10nm. The runway is set in the FMC on the ARR/DEP page. Mark.

I think he set up the FIX page in the FMC. He put the the airport code (i think, not 100% sure) and entered the 050 and 230 radials (which are also the runway headings) This way the green line is extending from the runway.

in this case the green line doesn't come from a VOR since the Madeira VOR (Funchal, FUN) does not lie on the same line with the runway. So you can never get that green line extending the runway ;) or there must be some VOR far far away that is on the same line with the runway and that the maker of the video knows :(

I know that Anderson AFB is PGUA. I don't think Guam is that big, is it?
