August 9, 201114 yr Author @ Helge: Unfortunately, this is the cheapest offer to get devices with this dimensions (Width 14" Depth 12" Height 5" Weight 19 lbs.) over the pond! Here is a quotation from one of the mails of PFC with the other shipping options: USPS EMS: $157UPS Worldwide Expedite: $387UPS Worldwide Express: $423 I think you are able to comprehend why I chose the USPS option. I did the mistake with the NGX manuals to order "Express" and of course pay for it, but it took the package three weeks to be in my hands. I don't know if it was the fault of the customs service or the fault of the parcel service... Daniel Gravanis - EDDH Many happy landings and always three green!
August 10, 201114 yr I would try and go with a cheaper option when all that shipping comes into terms. IMO, spend less and get better hardware. Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute. ~Gil Stern

Do you really think I like to spend so much money on shipping? The three options mentioned above are the only available ones. So if someone from Germany wants to own a PFC device, then he/she has to choose one of the three available shipping options. Greetings from Germany Daniel Gravanis - EDDH Many happy landings and always three green!
September 1, 201114 yr So Daniel, did you get your PFC Saab Yoke? If so, how are you liking it? I just ordered one and I'm waiting for it to come in. I like my Saitek, but I dislike the hard center detents especially when trying to do more precision flying so I wanted something smooth and a little more solid. Tony
September 1, 201114 yr The problem is that the aileron axis is drifting to the right making straight and level flying impossible. Yes, you can trim the ailerons, but that's not a solution. There are two walk-arounds: unplug and replug the yoke during the session, but the problem will reappear after a certain period of time. The second walk-around is deleting some registry data to have the problem fixed only for it to resurface the next time you boot your computer. As you can see, none of these fixes is permanent and doing this over and over gets pretty old quite fast. If I will ever find a solution to this problem, then the Saitek yoke will be far better than the CH, but until then... CH remains my favourite controller. At this moment, I do not recommend the Saitek Yoke. If anyone can help with this issue, then suggestions are welcome and highly appreciated, of course! (not meaning to highjack the thread as this info may benefit the OP aswell) To overcome the problem, someone in a certain thread recommended to give Saitek Yoke power. It seems Saitek Yoke lack enough power. You might need to try find Saitek power adapter like the below http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_e_9 PatrickNarsis Half X Case | Core i7 2600K @ 4.6 GHZ | ASUS P8P67 Deluxe | 8GB DDR3 Gskills Sniper @ 1600 MHZ CL 7-8-7-24 | EVGA GTX 580 SC @ 797 MHZ | 240 GB SSD OCZ & 1 TB WD Caviar Black Corsair AX850W PSU | Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit | DELL U2711 | Saitek Yoke, X52, Rudder, Switch, Multi Panels | REX | GEX Europe | UTX Europe

Hey Toni, the PFC Yoke is a unimaginable improvment of the realistic feelling of steering a commercial airplane.Unfortunately, I had to pay a lot at the customs office here in Germany, but it is really worth every Cent. You have to keep in mind that you need pedals, because you don't have the Z-Axis anymore with the yoke. My setting is the following:PFC Saab Flight Yokethe throttle quadrant of my old X-52 Proand the Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals It feels amazing!!! Can recommend all of the above! September 1, 201114 yr That's great to know Daniel. Thanks for the info. I've already invested in good hydraulic-dampened rudder pedals from FlightLink so this should complete the experience. I couldn't stand the cheaper versions from CH and Saitk that are completely unrealistic. Tony
September 12, 201114 yr I just got my PFC Cirrus yoke in. Unfortunately they shipped the wrong one and I ended up with the Mooney yoke not the Saab one I ordered, but they're making it right and sending me the right one. In the meantime I gave the Mooney yoke a try and yes, it's definitely much, much nicer than any of the other commercial brands I've had. There's no center detent so the action is nice and smooth and the tension feels excellent. Definitely a worthwhile investment if you can manage the cost. Tony
