Here is an idea. ** Please back up your fsx.cfg first"" delet your fsx config file. start fsx and let it rebuild the config. Be warned to back up your config to copy across any tweaks you may have.. this does solve quite alot of issues within fsx it'self...

Right i have certainly fixed my dll error. Treat yourself to a reg cleaner. Alot of the times .dll files can be used and shared by other programmes and this can cause a confusion with in windows. I have regcure and when i have ran it i have over 40 shared Dll's well ive been flying this today for about 8 hours and not one fatal error. Worked for me. Also do you have uiautomationcore.dll file in your fsx root folder. Must me the Vista one.

you aren't the only one having this problem, I think PMDG is aware of the problem and will investigate it if they have more time ...Also had this 2 or 3 times but not always and to be honest ... I dont care if fsx crashes after I want to exit fsx :(

After deleting and rebuilding FSX cfg file, i get the same Crash on Exit issue. happens every time if i load up the 737ngx Problem signature:Problem Event Name: APPCRASHApplication Name: fsx.exeApplication Version: 10.0.61637.0Application Timestamp: 46fadb14Fault Module Name: PMDG_737NGX.DLLFault Module Version: 1.0.0.0Fault Module Timestamp: 4e3afb98Exception Code: c0000005Exception Offset: 00108a43OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1Locale ID: 1033Additional information about the problem:LCID: 1033Read our privacy statement online:http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline:C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt

Not seeing this on the known issues thread, yet i cant seem to produce the result with any other aircraft. Any update on this?

I am sure the team is tracking this as a potential issue. Is it breaking anything?

I have spent quite a bit of time on this trying to narrow it down. The failure is documented in the attached pdf which I submitted with a ticket I raised. I have tried letting fsx build a new fsx.cfg file, a fresh ngx install, removing frame limiting, removing exdok and the the fatal error remains. The crashing did cause the HGS to do display information in the wrong "scale" so that all information was not visible. A reinstall of ngx fixed this however. I was able to reproduce this crash on exit behavior quite repeatedly. It is a bit vague but a definite pattern. Switching between VC and external views AND cycling the HGS will cause it reliably. I set up a basic scenario by simply choosing the 800wl and parking it at a small airport with no add-on scenery. I did not touch anything except apply the parking break. I did all kinds of VC and external view switching but I did NOT lower or touch the HGS. No problems exiting fsx . Same scenario but this time lowering and raising the HGS along with switching between VC and external views (including switching views when the HGS is in different positions) almost certainly produces the crash on exit as described in images in the attached pdf. Edit: I always let the initialization finish completely before proceeding. Just adding this based on another idea presented in another thread. Hope this helps. Since I can reproduce this failure mode repeatedly with my system, I am willing to help out testing if you need me to.

Cheers, Scott Ball

Its not a huge issue, accept that it makes configuring Hotkeys and the like kinda difficult ;)
