Can't you already do this, with Air Display?

Purchase AirDisplay from the app store and use the iPad as extended monitor ... Works like a charm but only in windowed mode :((

Gary Blake.

Its been done. Do search and you will find a few examples of folks using the iPad PC peer to peer Apps. Undock the CDU and you should be off and running. I saw a YouTube video of someone doing it with the 744 or MD11.

Yes, but a App would be much better, since the iPad would have to send only the data via wifi.

AirDisplay works perfectly fine. I don't see the problem with other methods - I highly doubt PMDG will make an entire app just for the CDU when it's already done.

Quick note about AirDisplay. If you connect to the device while in windowed mode and your screen goes black, press Alt-Enter to make it go fullscreen, then press it again to return to windowed. Also, I won't let me start flight sim with it's connected (it detects airdisplay as invalid video hardware) so just start FSX then connect.

It still works with the ngx. Flew twice today with the fmc on my iPad. Use air display...it works like a charm!

I'm using Air Display too. But since it can not be done in fullscreen mode, I am not using it anymore. Is there any possibility to undock the FMC in fullscreen mode?

Since the Air Display is not working anymore, is there another possible solution?

It works flawlessly on WIN7 x64 (since that's what I run). Please read the information on your iPad when you start Airdisplay...it should present itself as a 2nd monitor. Also start FSX first and then start Airdisplay. Drag your FMC (undocked) to your Ipad. As to "....this is no airdisplay support forum..." you are correct :)
