August 8, 201114 yr Hey all, Just got the NGX yesterday and it worked fine until this morning. I went to select ti in the FSX free flight menu and I got a "Fatal error has occurred" message and FSX crashes. I tried reinstalling the NGX and now it doesn't come up with an activation window asking for the activation code. Now i can't activate it and it still gets the crash. Can anyone help? August 8, 201114 yr Hi, Sounds like the same problem that just happened to me tonight. Although I did not experience the crash/fatal error. I'm now just unable to activate and/or use the product. If I were you, I'd fill out a support ticket. August 8, 201114 yr Library Administrator Have you tried to re-install FSX? Or reset yout fsx.cfg file? I always try that 1st, and that solves some problems. Brian A. August 8, 201114 yr Hi Brian, I'm not going to spend three days reinstalling everything on a hunch, I'd rather wait on PMDG and suggest others do the same. Thanks for the input though. August 8, 201114 yr Thanks Brian I know, nothing against you just the thought of having to reinstall fsx scares me lol Rich Sennett
August 8, 201114 yr I had no problems, but I had to reinstall FSX on order to install it in the c: directory and the Ngx didn't ask me to reactivate yet has been working fine. Was this supposed to happen? Alfredo Terrero
August 8, 201114 yr Hi Stephen, Although I decided not to do a complete FSX reinstall, I did completely remove the PMDG 737NGX, figured I'd have nothing to lose. I then reinstalled the aircraft and its working again. I didn't even have to activate the aircraft. If I were you, I'd rename all the aircraft.cfg files to aircraft.bak so they don't get wiped out. Do a complete uninstall of the PMDG 737NGX, once that's complete, reinstall the aircraft. Once that's done, delete the new aircraft.cfg files and rename the aircraft.bak ones back to aircraft.cfg. Hope this helps Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
