August 8, 201114 yr Hey Guys, I dont waste time when flying in Australia in the sim.I fly with REX 2 and I dont open the main program, I just open the Weather Engine and press load WX and fly with what I believe to be relieastic weather. The problem is I get nice weather effects but im flying around then when everything is good we fly into a clould the plane shakes and the IAS goes from 300 to 360 instantly and the sim freez becasue the plane is overstressed.I would like to know how people like to fly with their REX and if they have these issues. AndyBTW I know this is not a PMDG issue Andy Hinton Dell Studio XPS 435MT, Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz , 8GB RAM,Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit), NIVIDA Ge Force GTX 460
August 8, 201114 yr It's a buggy fsx code with wind shifts. You can use a registered version of fsuipc or use ase for wx with dwc. Other than that there are no other solutions. Sean Green
August 8, 201114 yr FSUIPC is worth the money for fixing wind and temp / pressure shifts alone. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
August 8, 201114 yr Author Iv heard alot about FSUIPC this might be a stupid question but what does it do? Andy Hinton Dell Studio XPS 435MT, Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz , 8GB RAM,Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit), NIVIDA Ge Force GTX 460

Andy BTW I know this is not a PMDG issue (Steve)To be honest i have REX 2 + Overdrive. I don't use the WX because it's terrible, it seems to apply to many cloud textures for a start. Try just using the textures and use FSX weather weather engine gains loads fo frames aswell
August 8, 201114 yr Author Ok thanks Steve sounds like plan Andy Hinton Dell Studio XPS 435MT, Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz , 8GB RAM,Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit), NIVIDA Ge Force GTX 460
August 8, 201114 yr Ok thanks Steve sounds like planYeah it's not going to harm anything, Another bit of advise. If you use REX WX uncheck the Visibilty in the options because this will cause major drag m8I've had many of hours tweaking REX and am pretty aware of its downfalls.
August 8, 201114 yr I saw the biggest hits to performance with I was using the HD 3D clouds at 4096 in REX2 while I was flying the NGX. If the FPS dropped below 10 I would get see a continually greater increase in left and right yaw in the plane. I had to look at the floor to get the FPS back above 10 to stop the yawing. I just went to using a non HD 3d cloud, but kept my HD cirrus and all was fixed. Derek RogersPC Specs: Intel i7-4790K 4.6GHz : 16GB RAM : GTX 970 4GB

August 8, 201114 yr i uSe rex as my textures and ase as my weather themne and having no problems I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
August 9, 201114 yr Best use for REX is for textures only. Use Activesky for weather, it is the best you can Get in Weather Simulation. Paul Deemer
