August 8, 201114 yr I'm running the NGX on a desktop Q6600 with 4GB RAM and an nVidia 8500GT (512Mb) GPU with satisfactory results. I can't run fancy scenery with the sliders to the right, but mid-range is fine and the NGX is very smooth. Yours should be fine. August 8, 201114 yr Depends....you didn´t write what speed your processor works at. That is the downfall of FSX, if the cpu is to slow. Also....if you thinking about using the NGX....you should be prepared to turn almost everything down. Oliver Donner
August 8, 201114 yr Author Hmm,thanks everyone!I think i will get the LGA410-5300[with i5] so to run the NGX okay.If anyone else has opinion, suggestions, please share with us.Again, thank! Eduardo Santos
August 8, 201114 yr Author Sorry for the double post, but I have a new config here on my possibilities list: Samsung RF411 Notebook with Intel 2nd Generation Core i3 2310M, 4GB memory, 500GB, NVIDIA GT540M with 1GB, Windows 7 Home Premium. Will work better than Samsung NP-SF310-SD1BR Intel Core i3-370M, 4GB, 320GB, GeForce 310M(512MB) just because the video card? Eduardo Santos
August 8, 201114 yr I've got an HP TouchSmart 610 running a Core i-3 that i'm terrified to even THINK of putting fsx on.. 95 watts just aint a lot of power..
August 8, 201114 yr I believe yes, the CPU should be newer and the graphics card is definitively better, the 310M was the lowest of the range, while the GT540M is low mid-range. Fabrizio Sassi
August 8, 201114 yr I am running it on a Gateway NV59C8GBi3-370 2.4GHzIntel HD graphics I am also running REX 2.0 and UT2. After following the introduction settings suggestions, I am averaging between 15-25 fps in most areas. Very smooth and acceptable. Chris K

August 9, 201114 yr You can run it on your notebook, but for the best experience, I wouldn't recommend it. Get a better computer with a nice widescreen monitor :)Just my little tip :( --- MSFS | DCS | X-plane 12
August 9, 201114 yr Author You can run it on your notebook, but for the best experience, I wouldn't recommend it. Get a better computer with a nice widescreen monitor :)Just my little tip Hehe, well for this moment i will stay in the basic just to enjoy the NGX and this is a rather strange decision since I tend to run out of time to fly so spending money in a good computer and not having time to enjoy is it sad,no? Kurt, I am running a Q6600 desktop too, glad to see your results are satisfactory. Can you elaborate a bit though ? OS and 32/64-bit ? FPS observations ? Do you have the 400X and how does the NGX run compared to it on your system ? Did you increase the application virtual memory ? Thanks,Zach zachlog
