August 8, 201114 yr Well...this is my first trouble report... I´m experiencing a precise problem with the NGX, and only with this plane ocurrs. When i change the views or try to switch full screen to non full screen, the FSX goes crazy. The FSX keeps running, but the screen mostly turns black, or shows strange looks like the pics i post. I run Win 7 64 with 8 Gb Ram and ATI Radeon HD5850 1 Gb. For me, it´s a video memory issue, but only happens with the NGX. Hope someone could help me Regards Gonzalo
August 8, 201114 yr Have you placed the HIGHMEMFIX=1 in the fsx.cfg? The introduction document should tell you more! Rob Taylor
August 8, 201114 yr Make sure you inserted HIGHMEMFIX=1in your fsx.cfg instead of HIMEMFIX=1 Martin Stendersø SPECS: i5 2500K @ 4,7GHz 1GB GTX 560 TI (900MHz) (ASUS) 4 GB GT Dominator 1866 MHz DDR3 RAM (CORSAIR) P8P67 Motherboard (ASUS) Windows 7 SP1 64-Bit FSX SP2 Deluxe

August 9, 201114 yr lol, read the document. Does anyone read anything these days before they use it? Hey Gonzalo. What I'm going to say is in no way aimed at you. It's just some thoughts I'd like to share enjoying the opportunity. I mean, there's no way you could know that your problem in fact has something to do with HIGHMEMFIX=1 unless you know something about this tweak. I find rather 'interesting' the fact that people come to the forums to make some... kind of questions', for lack of a better word for stupid, (again, not talking about you, Gonzalo) that are thoroughtly discribed in the manuals and that one can, at some extent, easily find. I mean, PMDG gave us the real 737 manuals for us to search and troubleshoot problems that may come up, and most people simply ignore them. We have about 3500 pages of real-world documentation to explain how things work and how to find solutions, but some folks are so lazy that it seems they can't afford to spend some energy looking at the FCOM or Introduction to see why something is showing up that way or at the QRH to find a way around or to solve the problem. I really can't understand this. I know that English is not the mother language of the majority here, myself included, so if the guy had at least took some time to read the manuals and got to the conclusion that he can't comprehend what's written there, fine. Come over and ask for enlightenment. But some don't even try!!! Matheus Mafra
August 9, 201114 yr Im sorry, I know it sucks that it doesnt work... but that is almost art. Daniel Miller
August 9, 201114 yr Hi Matheus... << PMDG gave us the real 737 manuals for us to search and troubleshoot problems that may come up, and most people simply ignore them. We have about 3500 pages of real-world documentation to explain how things work and how to find solutions, but some folks are so lazy that it seems they can't afford to spend some energy looking at the FCOM or Introduction >> That's human nature ! I've got to admit, this is probably the very first time that I have 'read up' prior to starting the engines...after all, there was no readme ......and anyway, this release was so anticipated, and the images so fantastic, that I was tempted to 'Fly Now'. But I didn't...I followed PMDG's instructions to the letter. I cannot 'speed read', but I think that I read up what I needed to read in record time.... However I can understand that many of us fliers feel the same way. Anyway, AFAIK an immediate 'Fly Now' before perusing the docs doesn't do any serious damage ? August 9, 201114 yr I did that too. I was way to excited to read something. But everybody had time to "get used" to the plane, and what I meant was: if you face a problem at this time, I'm sure However I can understand that many of us fliers feel the same way. Anyway, AFAIK an immediate 'Fly Now' before perusing the docs doesn't do any serious damage ? RegardsBillOf course not I did that too! Was way too excited to read something. But what I meant was: if something comes up, the manuals should be quoting something that may explain or solve the problem for you. So, just check them before asking here bacause it may be something very simple that you can deal with by yourself. Why to wait hours to get an answer here and get some trolls and anger from some guys if you can probably find everything you need in the FCOM, Introduction or QRH? Matheus Mafra
