I am very satisfied with FS2004

I'm pretty happy with my version of FS2004 - but I really hope that MS will make a patch to help out on the autogen feature.

I'd hate to say it, but the FIRST thing you need is a new video card. The CPU is definitely fast enough to handle it, and you might need more RAM, but if you upgrade your video card to an AGP 128mb card such as a Radeon 9700 (not too expensive), you'll notice a huge improvement in performance and quite possibly enjoy it a lot more!James

Dittos with Cougar, above, regarding autogen. But the workaround - works !FS9 amazes and entertains every flight ! Great sim. and super job by MS Team !! Showing off to visiting family over the Holidays - the clouds and views from above, at dusk / early evening - continue to impress all !!I keep hoping for enhanced ATC options & capability for even more variety of ATC directions, approaches, holds, and more sophisticated airport operations / multiple runway use, active ATC vextoring & sequencing of traffic (audible) during arrival & departure......But, by far, FS9 the best so far.......2.81 megPro-128RonChuluota, Fl.

I'm loving the smoothness of FS2004!!! The only two things I really miss are care-free overcast clouds and 767 PIC (although I here this problem will be taken care of in a few months!) Just get things even smoother... that's what I ask of Microsoft!Regards,Phil Geddes

ABsolutely, will join this thread and say that also FS2004 roxx. FS2002 is also long long forgotten...CTDs, slowing down, DirectX errors...I can fly, land, takeoff, fly, land.....numerous times without single crash. Need a big muscle for it, tho :)

over 300 troublefree hrs logged with fs9. finest flightsim ever produced.worth many times more than i paid for it.donp4-3.061 gig ramti4600

I am also very satisfied with FS2004!With a few payware planes it rocks.Only the missing real overcast, the runway lights appearing too late and the "dancing mountains" in the far trouble its near perfection...AC5

Hum... I use both, FS2002 and FS2004. FS2002 never crashed and sceneries with all my addons are super.I use FS2004 to fly between Hawaiian Islands and in the Caribbean... Like the skies and the water! Both sims are GREAT!

Personally, I'm amazed at how well FS9 works. It's quite likely the most complex piece of software on my system - in fact, when you think about it its actually like having about five different programs multi-tasking at the same time. It's not perfect, but I think its certainly about as close as could reasonably be expected of a $50 flight simulator...in other words, I'm getting a great deal of enjoyment out of it.
