It seems to do that, they will eventually cool. If you do another flight, be sure to set the gear position to 'off' after departure and when you get to cooler air, the brakes will cool. I dont know if its a quirk or some other issue.

Look in the Quick Reference Handbook. There is cooling schedule for the brakes. It can sometimes take an hour or more for the brakes to cool down, when they are very hot. EDIT: Page 365. With an indication of 3.3 as you are having it takes about 25 minutes for the brakes to cool down while sitting on the ground, or 3 minutes while flying with the gear extended. EDIT2: reading your posting properly I just realized that you waited much longer than it should have taken. Hm... maybe the temp readings stay locked when the temperature reaches a certain point, as some kind of service prompt that needs to be reset?

You probably broke your brakes and have to fix them. I finally turned on services based failures yesterday and did a max autobrake landing without spoilers or reverse thrust. My brakes wouldnt work so I flew around for a while with gear down and they never cooled. I went to the maintenance page and not only did it say my brake temps were too high, but that they had failed altogether, so you might have to fix them.
