The FSBuild fuel planner is kind of fussy sometimes and I've never really taken the time to learn it properly. I usually use a combination of FSBuild, TOPCAT, and the FMC's own projections for fuel planning. If you never, ever want to run out of fuel, ever... you can use the figure http://fuel.aerotexas.com/ gives you.

That's exactly what I use. 99% of my flying is in North America, and based on real world flights. Makes it nice and easy to find real world routes. :(

What are some of the best websites/software packages for creating an IFR flight plan ? I just want to type in my departure and destination airports and then be able to piece together a plan including all SIDs / STARs / airways / etc
