August 19, 201114 yr I'm looking to slowly build a new machine over the next few months and want to get opinions on the tower I've selected. One of the most appealing features of this tower is the power being located at the bottom instead of the top. This seems easier to work with; however, my concern is the obvious issue of heat rising. Considering the fans that can be added I'm not sure this is really an issue to worry about. Still I thought it best to ask for input here from a group who I trust to be honest. I will mention that I don't want to spend too much on the case and I'm not interested in extra features such as clear sides and color changing LED lights. Anyway, here is the one I have picked out. August 19, 201114 yr Author Hmm... that is a nice one. I like the usb on top instead of the front. Do you have a case with the power supply on the bottom? Have you ever noticed any heat related issues with it being situated down there instead of on top? Edward Smoker Sr.
August 19, 201114 yr I have had cases with the PSU at the bottom before, usually the fans on the top remove all heat that rises so no issue Di Agron Dell XPS 15 L502X | Intel i5-2540m @ 2.60GHz | 4GB DDR3 1333MHz (2x2GB) | nVidia GT525M | Seagate 500GB 7200RPM | 15" 1366x768 | 23" LG 1360x768 | Got a hardware question? August 19, 201114 yr Another happy 650D owner checking in! It truly is uhmazing! Very pricey... but you have to consider that cases don't go out of style anywhere near the rate your other hardware does. Heat rise is easily overcome by airflow - nothing to worry about. August 19, 201114 yr If you are looking for budget cabinet check out the Cooler Master Elite 430. Heat rising in the system would be due to the airflow being restricted or fans having a problem, if you put a cooler keep it in Push & pull config.
