August 26, 201114 yr ASE is awesome, I use it with REX profiles and textures and the results are really amazing. I had just REX at first but I didn't like the weather functions it had and the lack of overall control. I grabbed ASE because it looked like it provided a lot more options and it really improved my weather and flying experience. Plus with ASE, (if you use REX) you dont have to wait like 5 minues every time you want to switch profiles.
August 26, 201114 yr All, I ask that we not turn this into a Support thread in the FSX forum. Please post any information you wish at our forum here and I'll get back to everyone tomorrow.
August 28, 201114 yr I am back with ASE after months away. I couldn't get simconnect to work on a remote, but last night I got back into it and now I have ASE running on a remote laptop and it's great! No more clouds when the metar says CLR and using my remote PC the simulation is so much smoother. I am glad that I gave it one more try! Jim is super fast with support! Kdub

August 28, 201114 yr Commercial Member 1. Use a higher ratio of Stratus clouds under the Cloud options. I live and fly in Northern Cali (SF Bay Area) and it made a big difference. I have also had this problem. On many occasions I have had my cumulus clouds dotted about at ground level when I know the RW cloud layers were at 1500' and above. I will try the recommended cloud ratio setting adjustments. Out of interest, just how does this fix the problem, or more specifically, how does FSX interpret the solution?ThanksEricEdit: sorry Jim, just read your post above
