Fail Operational gives you automatic Flare and Rollout.Fail Passive only gives you Flare so you will have to steer the plane after touchdown. You need the Collins MCP for a Fail Operational autoland. Below 1500 ft Fail Operational will announce Land 3.Below 1500 ft Fail Passive will announce CMD. Both will annouce CH 1 above 1500 ft after localizer capture.

Hi Jeff! I was flying from Darwin. Then going to Perth, doing an Australia Tour, coming from Reunion Island :)

I usually land NGX with LAND 3 autoland. This means I set all settings properly.Today I flew this plane 4 airports withourt restarting FSX nor resetting aircraft, last landing made me crazy with thid abnormal disconnect.Airport was WBKK ILS 02, confirmed LAND 3 but suddenly A/P disconnected just before touchdown.I flew almot half of runway and finally landed safely.. I also experienced twice sudden right-hand rolling after this LAND 3 disconnection, too. There's definetly something wrong with NGX.. I'm using latest hotfix.
