August 27, 201114 yr That's kind of neat though. If "Flight1" does the Classic and Captain Sim does the 100-200, with the NGX, we will have every version of the 737 ever made. That's pretty awesome! Robert Yunque
August 27, 201114 yr They are quite different. Yes, I am talking about the 737-200.1. Newer engines2. Different Tail3. Revised cockpit, similar design to 767 with newer CRT displays and old gauges4. Different interior5. Many other little thingshope this clears it up. Sure does, thanks for the info!
August 27, 201114 yr Captain Sim is developing Classic 737...Just thought I'd let you know. They are probably going to make a nice lookalike of the 737 CL but with idiotic systems and flight characteristics .. as they usually only sell eye-candy. But, hey .... let's hope i'm wrong this time. Antoine v Heck --- Ryzen 5800X3D, 32Gb DDR4 RAM@1600 Mhz, RTX3090 (24GB VRAM). 2TB SSD - VR with Quest 2 via link cable

August 27, 201114 yr Erm... Do you at least own their 727 and/or 707, or are you simply assuming? I own both and I can assure you that they are more than just "eye candy"... Forgive my cynical tone. Yes, I purchased their 727 and let's just say that it is not as good in terms of systems simulation/ flight model would it have been done by a company like PMDG or the creators of the LD767.to put it mildly... I may not be a real pilot but i cannot imagine that its behavior in the air approaches reality. I have found confirmation about those doubts in this review by a retired 727 pilot http://airlinersim.blogspot.com/2009/03/captain-sim-727-captain.html Antoine v Heck --- Ryzen 5800X3D, 32Gb DDR4 RAM@1600 Mhz, RTX3090 (24GB VRAM). 2TB SSD - VR with Quest 2 via link cable
August 27, 201114 yr I agree that it won't be as good as the PMDG 737NGX. That plane is in its own league in just about every respect (just did MPTO-MROC, and was smiling along the entire flight, seriously...). The 727 has some problems, some of which are actually really sloppy, but the systems seem to work fine. Reading the pilot's review you linked to, his only gripes concerning the systems seem very minor. The FDE is mostly what he criticises and I'm not in the position to doubt his judgement since I haven't even flown on a 727 as a passenger As for the 707, it seems that its handling is actually pretty close to reality, at least according to the Avsim review that Alan did. Of course, I nor Alan are 707 pilots, so we might be completely wrong... Still, if the 707, the latest aircraft by them, is anything to go by, the 737 could well be a very good aircraft. August 28, 201114 yr Will, any idea where we can find information about feelthere doing a 737 classic? I personally would be very interested! I loved the wilco/feelthere 737-3/4/5 thats been out for ages however can no longer use it due to compatibility issues with fsinn and fscopilot :( So a remake of it which could potentially be compatible sounds great! Cheers,Shane Shane Reeves

Come on new classic. :) Dmitriy Kotov If it is not IFR conditions it is not fun.
August 28, 201114 yr I hope wilco bring an update ! A good idea was feelthere buyd the fiftynorth exterior model lizence. And build an new VC . Soundset from TSS ! I think than its a great produkt . Whe need no new liveris and all its ok ! best regards Christian Urban Munich
August 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member Well, what I gathered is that Feelthere is doing a classic 737 as we speak. So, I don't see PMDG doing a classic 737 that soon. I would love to have them, though. I like the 737 and I will make sure to have the complete series. I will also buy the CS 737-100/200 when it comes out in full (no exterior only stuff, I want all or nothing). Other companies are doing it too... :) Collin Biedenkapp Chief Executive Officer TFDi Design (Invernyx) | Website
